The game is well made and the game components are robust and attractive. I liked the fact that a number of expansions can be purchased for the core game. Overall this game is one of the best made from a movie and I would recommend it to anyone who likes Science Fiction.

Great game, good quality models. I’m a GF9 fan and kinda knew what to expect (I also read up on what this was) I already have a modelling station with scalpel/file/super glue etc etc, so the set up didn’t bother me - I actually quite enjoyed it. However I can see why people who aren’t ready for that or weren’t expecting it might not be too happy. (Although frankly they should have read up about the game before buying)Models fit together well but again - this is a job for a modelling knife not to prise out with your fingers - then you probably will damage the connections.All in all - good game and a fine addition to the GF9 family of intricate board games but be warned - serious assembly required.

I've had this for 48 hours and have played it twice, it's a cracking game. The instructions aren't 100% complete/clear but with a little time online it's possible to work it all out and it is well worth the effort. For an Aliens fan in particular it's a blast. Looks to have tonnes of replayability with different ways of playing and difficulty levels. Only available second hand these days as far as I can tell and not cheap but glad I have it.

If you are buying this as a Christmas gift and expect to play it with friends or family after Christmas lunch, be aware that the figures are unassembled and need careful cutting from the sprue with a craft knife or plastic sprue snips.The quality of the product is good. Card boards & resources are well printed, punch out parts are equally well cut and don’t snag or tear. Plus the various dials fit together easily. The detail on the figures is good, if not up to the level of detail and animation found on the Prodos AVP2 Game. There’s no mould lines or flash on the figures I received. The miniatures match Perry 28mm plastics and the smaller Infinity figures but are dwarfed by Zombicide Invader and similar Kickstarter miniatures.Vasquez, Newt & Gorman look like their movie namesakes. Ripley is recognisable, but Hicks and Hudson lack animation and would be practically indistinguishable from the other ‘Grunts’ without the names displayed on their bases.I’d love to tell you how the game plays but I still have to construct the figures first! Despite this my wife and I are looking forward to playing game.Why Christmas 1974 in the title? A Tamiya armoured car kit. No glue. Shops shut till New Year. So much excitement tinged with frustration. But gratitude nevertheless.Thank you Amazon for delivering when my pre-orders elsewhere failed to materialise.

Great game. Building the figures was a bit fiddly, but no major challenge.The game itself starts off with a steep learning curve but once you've got the initial learning done the game speeds up. And oh boy does it escalate fast. In the first couple of turns we went from "oh this is manageable" to "game over man!"Great funny and brilliant with friends.

Some game play/rules are not in the rule book so have had improvise on what seemed logical. Lots of elements to remember but a very well structured, thought out game that is fun to play. Will be getting an extension.

The instructions are wrong, avoid following them when building the alien queen, unless you prefer to have feet the wrong way round and a leg in place of an arm. Otherwise it's a good little plastic kit.

It's an aliens board game that can be played solo or with friends. What's not to love. You do need some extra stuff like maybe some Tamiya model glue, some small clippers and maybe some optional paint.

It's a nice addition to the core game, the price was great. My only tiny issue was the facehugger was very delicate and you can easily break the tail when attaching it to the base.
