Ethernet for Roku Streambar
I use this on my Roku Streambar SE so I can plug in wired ethernet. The Roku Streambar recognized it immediately and set up was just as easy as the setup for wired ethernet on a Roku ultra. So if you're looking for an ethernet connection to your Roku or Ion/Roku soundbars, I can attest that these works great.

Excellent adapter!
I was looking to purchase a USB>Ethernet adapter for my Series2 Tivo. Since the Tivos are known to be a little picky about the adapter used, I did a lot of research to find out what was out there. This adapter kept popping up, so even though it's not listed on Tivo's website ([...] I decided it was worth a shot. It had gotten great reviews pretty much everywhere. The adapter (TU2-ET100) arrived yesterday. The USPS shipping was a bit slow, having actually PASSED my house in route to another hub before coming to me. But the packing was good, and it was in a nice box with a CD and fairly basic instruction book. I did not need either. The adapter itself is pretty light weight, but not fragile. It's a little boxy, but that actually is a good thing as I want it to sit flat. Within a second of plugging this in to my Tivo, it had obtained an IP address from my router and was churning away with full-duplex speed! The world of networked Tivo has opened lots of cool doors, thanks to this simple little adapter! According to the box, this adapter WILL work with the Nintendo Wii, as well. Note to those looking... BE CAREFUL not to mistake this with the TRENDnet USB to 10/100Mbps Adapter (TU-ET100C) adapter, which sells for a similar price (slightly cheaper) and looks more "modern", but only operates on the USB 1.1 specification. Also note... don't waste your time going to Best Buy. They don't sell these, and the guy who offered to help me find it told me matter-of-factly that "there is no such thing as a USB>Ethernet adapter." Sure thing, buddy.

Worked perfectly for my Roku Smart Soundbar
For some unknown reason, Roku did not include an ethernet port on their Smart Soundbar. I mean, why in the world would you want high-bandwidth, low latency connectivity for a high-definition streaming device, right?!? Sheesh. Anyway, they *do* include a USB-A port, and they do support a limited number of USB ethernet adapters, including this specific one. I plugged it in and it worked immediately! Great throughput, no wireless lag, and no saturation of my wifi network with streaming. Note that the USB-A port is the old, rectangular, only-plugs-in-one-way technology and is also has lower throughput than modern-day USB-C ports, so the throughput on this ethernet adapter is limited to a theoretical maximum of 100 megabits per second (mbps). In reality I get around 70-80 mbps, which is more than enough for very high definition content streaming. Highly recommended.

Works great for me!
This is for the 2.5G nic. Had to get this because I went small form factor for my PC build, my x570 crosshair 8 impact only came with gigabit lan, and I often do transfers over the network to my NAS/Plex server. Gig isn't the worst thing ever but I know my 3.5" HDDs can transfer well over 200MB/s and gigabit maxes at around 112MB/s. Finally decided to upgrade and with the existing wiring only being cat5e in my house I tried 2.5G first. It works great as you can see from the pic, transfers at over 2.5 gig. Wish my board had 2.5g or 5g built in, should have at it's price. But this was a nice alternative. Installation: do yourself a favor and download and install 7-zip before plugging this in if you don't already have 7-zip. Winrar wouldn't work for me. Once you plug this in it has a tiny amount of onboard storage that shows up as a flash drive, has the drivers on it. Quick install and you're done. Easy.

Great for a Week... Then Suddenly Ghosted Me Like a Bad Date
This Trendnet USB to Ethernet adapter worked fine for about a week—then decided to start dropping connections like it was auditioning for a disappearing act. One minute I’m surfing smoothly, next minute, poof—internet gone, forcing me to reconnect like I’m in some kind of digital Groundhog Day. Supports Windows and Mac OS, sure—but apparently not “stable connection” OS. If you want a gadget that’s good at keeping you frustrated and offline, this one’s perfect. Would give zero stars if I could, but hey, at least it worked for a week!

Very reliable and absolutely no overheating
Works great! We tested it for a month and it does not overheat at all, which we appreciate because other brands we tested got really hot in normal use. This is a thankful example of great PRC quality.

Gorgeous Design
The TRENDnet USB-C to Gigabit Ethernet adapter performs exactly as expected. Ethernet speeds are fast and stable, and the three USB 3.0 ports handle peripherals smoothly. Plug-and-play on both Mac and Windows with no setup needed. Sleek white design, lightweight, and perfect for travel or desk use. Great reliability and value.

Great for HP ProLiant ML350 Gen10 connection time ILO5
This review is for a specific use: Connecting a laptop to a Server's ILO so there's technical jargon that may not mean much if you're just using this to adapter to connect your computer to a network. I use it to plug into the ILO USB jack in the front of HP ProLiant ML350 Gen10 servers. You don't need Gigabit speed for this so 10/100 is fine. You can connect directly to ILO5 interface without having to plug the regular ILO network port (in the back of the server) into the LAN and do any other setup on the server. 1 - Plug the USB end into the ILO USB port in the FRONT of the Server 2 - Plug a network patch cable between this adapter and your laptop's ethernet network port 3 - Set your laptop with a static IP address of 169.254.1.3 / 255.255.255.0 / 169.254.1.1 4 - Open up Chrome and go to 169.254.1.2 and you're immediately connected to the server's ILO5 web interface. Super easy, works well, built solidly (enough for this use) and inexpensive.
