dreamGEAR 20 in 1 Essentials Kit for your Old Nintendo 3DS XL - Black

You get everything for a pretty good price (although I think they upped the price since last year..?), and everything is exactly as pictured. I used the headphones daily so it wasn't a surprise that after 3 months they kind of broke down but I was surprised they lasted that long.The case itself is a dream, although sometimes things left in it like the game cartridges can fall out if you aren't careful, which isn't a huge deal but just note the mesh net isn't snapped down or anything, just a heads up. The screen protectors are also a huge plus and they were pretty easy to put on compared to past screen protectors I've used (just clean your screen really well with that nifty screen cleaner before anything, took me a few tries but it was great afterwards, just one tiny speck of dust got in there, which I can live with). I've dropped my case with my 3ds xl in it about 3 times so far about 2-3 feet high, and even though the case isn't amazingly cushioned, the case is really sturdy enough to hold its own and it has 2 straps to hold your 3ds xl in place, as seen in the photos. I feel though if you drop it any higher than 4-5 feet (I don't know if that's really common, but I guess as a warning) then you might pop out your game card at most, but even then I think the case is snug enough to hold everything in place. I'm absolutely in love with this case, best investment ever, especially as a set. And who doesn't love a good, cute carabiner.I use the SD card reader for school now and the audio-splitter with my friends when we're listening to a single iPod on a long road trip. The cases fit 3DS games perfectly (obviously) while DS games only have a bit of a wobble, but still are held in fine (the cases are fold-snaps so they're much more secure). Even the wrist straps are a great touch of security, though it took me a bit of getting used to (I would sometimes move my hand to grab something before I realized that I'd unintentionally wring around my 3ds xl) but it's nice to have, since we have two key-charms on the system anyways, so why not lol. It's always nice to have a stylus of two types also, one of which works as an extra. Though I'd sometimes find the bigger one kind of less sensitive to my screen (it might just be my system, but sometimes it wouldn't detect the bigger stylus as well as the smaller one). Still, nice to have.Anyways, I've yet to use the car charger or the USB charger cable but I'm sure they're good and in proper working order as well. All in all, getting extras of anything is always good to have on hand since everything can be stored in the little black bag that's provided as well. Oh and those cleaning fobs are kinda cute too but I don't use them as often as I should, I just use the cleaning cloth which I store in the case's mesh net. Overall, this was a great 3ds xl life choice and investment.

1 large stylus...Exelent, easier to handle1 precision stylus...has a nice hole for a strap but keeps falling out of the 3DS XL2 sets of screen protectors...the one for the top screen is the best quality I have ever seen but the bottom one turned the touch screen useless so I had to remove it. I had this problen with other screen protectors so there was no sorprise there. Even Nintendo admits the 3DS touch screen has a problem with screen guards so its no really dreamgear's fault. .cleaning cloth... love it.USB car charger and USB charging cable... Excelent. If you carry your 3DS everywhere (as intended) your gonna need it. Batery life wouldn't be an issue.3 single game cases...Also nice and good to have around.All-purpose tote bag...One of my personal favoritesaudio splitter... comes in handy sometimes.earbuds... they SUCK. Didn't last a week. Only used it 2 times and it stopped working. Pure junk.3 cleaning fobs & an SD card reader... Awsome...And I adore the little ones with the straps. I even have one on my phone.2 wrist straps...its nice to have extrasCarrying Case...The Nintendo 3DS XL will fit nicely inside but if you place anything insite the case it can make scratches on the armor. Other cases have inside pockets but they have a barrier in between them and the device to avoid contact. The pocket itself is not very usefull holding things inside as well. Every time I opened the case stuff kept falling out or going everywhere inside the case. The case looks solid enough to take a hit but the material marks itself with bumps and scractches with ease. First day I placed it inside my bag it got snugged against the house keys and they made and impression that is still there. Them I started to carry it outside my hand bag and the material that held the metal clip ripped off after a couple of weeks. It looks beaten and dirty after only a few weeks and I am an adult so I am guessing it wouldn't last long in the hands of a child.So... As a whole this Kit doesn't work very well. Is better to get some of these individualy. I still think dreamgear is a good brand.
