I left it sit on my counter overnight, too. **Q: What is the size of the scoop as I need to replace the original which broke?** A: The scoop is 8 1/2” in length and 2 1/2” in width **Q: the clear acrylic lid on the 4 quart ice bucket was cracked from the day I received and finally broke off. I would like find a replacement lid.** A: You can contact the manufacturer directly for a replacement lid. They are a California based company that can assist is getting you a new lid. **Q: Will an ice pick damage the bottom** A: I haven’t used an ice pick, but I have used a butter knife to break up the ice and it did not damage it. I am well pleased with this ice bucket.
