PD 1.5-to-3 Foot Paint Roller Extension Pole, Multi-Purpose Telescopic Extension Pole, EZ-Lock Mechanism Extendable Pole, Paint Brush Extender with Lightweight Aluminum Handle (1.5-3 Feet)

I have been using this with a screw on suction cup and lightbulb attachments (purchased separately) to change out the nightmarish number of incandescent, 60 Watt, BR40 recessed lights in the cathedral ceilings of our strangely built house with BR 40 LED bulbs. The pole is really nice for that purpose. The overall fit and finish are good. The threads on the end are metal, attached to the pole as a part of a solid piece, and seem to be the standard size and pitch for the lightbulb changing attachments on the market. It’s quite stable at 2/3 extension, with a slight amount of flex but enough rigidity to press up quite hard when needing to extract the base of a broken bulb. The locking clamps hold it tight at the length one sets them, without slipping. I purchased this after the plastic locking rings broke on two extension poles marketed for changing lightbulbs. [It turns out a telescoping pole that won’t stay extended is pretty useless for reaching very high ceilings. Go figure!] I appreciate the sturdier construction of the locking/clamp rings on this pole. They are still plastic but clearly stronger, and the design removes the possibility for over-tightening and splitting a ring. I could do without the foam padded grips on the lower end. It is the kind of thing that degrades over time and, as the foam breaks down, I predict it will crumble and shed little chunks, or worse, a fine granular black powder. My suggestion for the company is do away with the foam and use thin ridged plastic or rubber, or just leave it clean. I imagine I will be scraping off the foam and wrapping those areas in friction tape when the foam starts to go. Bottom line: Nice extension pole; good quality though pricey.

Fun fact about me: I’m an avid painter. Being that as it may, I need quality products. This is it my friends! Considering that I have CTS, I need something functional and practical. It has to keep my hands comfortable and aid me in being the master painter I am. The padding at the bottom makes gripping it a dream. It’s not excessively long, so it’s easy to maneuver. It’s not rickety. This works perfectly for me as I don’t have high ceilings. Very lightweight and easy to clean. There are no safety hazards I’ve encountered as of yet, besides spilling paint. LOL.

It’s easy to find a long paint roller extension at box stores. Not so much with a shorter 1 to 3 foot extender. I ordered this PD and a similar competitor from Amazon to compare the two. Both were under $10. This PD extender is much more solid. Quality build. Minimal slack as you extend it. Even the clasping/unclasping of the clamps was much smoother and user-friendly in design. A better product in every aspect. Haven’t used it yet, but plan to paint several rooms. This will shorter extender well P easier to apply paint with a roller than just using the roller handle by itself. I recommend this PD short extension pole.

The original handle that came with my SnoBrum broke and I was looking for a replacement handle. This one is perfect. It's sturdy, lightweight, and it is easy to adjust the length. Excellent purchase.

It’s not the best quality but it’s not bad either it’s plastic. It works for month to month use but won’t for every day use. I have high ceilings and needed to change the lights and this didn’t work that well because it kept wiggling while trying to put the light bulb in .

We are using these to hold our lap counters during swim meets. We have only used them twice... so far so good. The grip is comfortable, they are compact and lightweight, and they are super easy to use.

I was pleasantly surprised by its lightweight when it arrived. It's quick and easy to extend/retract with smooth motion. The latches open with an easy tug, and close snug. The latches are plastic, and the telescopic segments are hollow aluminum, with a foam sheath for the handle that's fitted firmly. With it extended and the latches closed/tightened, the poll can still be pushed to collapse with about 30-40lbs of force (I didn't measure, just guessing by feel), which is still fine if you want to roll paint on a wall; less-so if you're Sir William "Ulrich von Liechtenstein" Thatcher from Gelderland in need of a lance. I'm just glad I don't have to kick around milk crate, or dance with a step ladder anymore.

Excellent quality and price. I needed an extension pole for one diy paint job and the cheapest in my local store was much more expensive, so I bought this one.
