Macmillan Children's Books Peace at Last

My child loves reading this book over and over again. A classic.

Easily my favorite children's book ever, from when it was read to me as a young child through reading it to my own children. The artwork is warm and cozy with small details so the pictures never get boring even after multiple reads. The sound effects are wonderful for reading aloud. Mr. Bear's tired but loving smile at Baby Bear and Mrs. Bear on the last page let us know that everything is just fine. I agree that this is a great pick for very young children just getting into books with actual storylines. There is the right amount of repetition and predictability that young children like, with a funny surprise ending to appeal to that stage of their development. I can recite this book by heart, I've read it so many times, and I give it as a gift for basically every new baby in my life. A wonderful classic.

Ist schon Jahre her, aber die Kinder haben das Buch geliebt. Es gibt viel zu entdecken und die Grafiken sind liebevoll gestaltet. Wir haben das Buch immer wieder lesen müssen. Das Thema, dass es manchmal schwierig ist Ruhe zu finden/zur Ruhe zu kommen ist schön dargestellt. A lovely bedtime read. My baby loves it n so do I :)

Classic book from my Daughter's childhood. Easy to relate to if your a Dad trying to get some peace! Bought this for my Grandson. Daughter loved the nostalgia.
