Tight fit in shoes but comfortable after a few days
These insoles take a few days to wear in and need to be shoved into your shoe - but after all the effort, they are fantastic. They are nice and cushiony, and I use them to add padding to my boots and also prevent my boots from creasing (because I'm shorter). Usually my boots will wrinkle and the leather will wear down quickly, but with these inside, they keep their shape a little better. If these were only slightly more affordable I'd buy them for all my shoes. The only downside is that I don't switch them into the shoes I'm wearing every day because they're tough to get into different shoes and take a while to mold. They come in a general size and you cut them down to fit. I cut a bit smaller than my actual shoe size just to get it in. I also don't bother with the extra bottom piece because it doesn't look like it fits that sturdily and I rather just one solid insole.

Foot doesn't fit into shoe with 1.5 insoles.
First, I'm a size 10 and the shoes I wear are rather large and roomy in width. The shoe insert fit into my shoe easily; I first tried the 1.5 inch insoles first. I then attempted to fit my foot into my shoe, but it would not fit. So I made it fit by stuffing my foot in the shoe until the top of the shoe was pressing hard against the top of my foot; it looked like I had a bubble at the top of my shoe where the shoe strings are. The .5 inch attachment does not stick to the larger 1.5 inch part very well, and disconnects when walking. Walking in these shoes with the 1.5 insert was quite painful. I had a very sharp pain in my Achilles heels, and my ankle rolled once when walking almost spraining my ankle. Moreover, the top of my foot was burning and hurting from the pressure from the top of the shoe. I had to immediately take the half inch attachment out and leave the 1 inch inside due to the 1.5 inch causing unbearable pain. The 1 inch fit more comfortably and feels comfortable, but my dress socks keep sliding over the insert causing difficulty walking. Still I feel my gait looks strange walking in the 1 inch insoles. My body weight presses the insert down to the point where it isn't an inch anymore, but about three quarters of an inch. However, I like the 1 inch, but adding to the inch to create a 1.5 insert does not work technically for shoes. I would suggest buying the inch, but not the attachable 1.5. I wish elevator shoes and inserts would sold at places where you can try them before purchasing them.

Give them a try!
I've seen so many reviews for these and they are ether great or just suck. Let me share my experience. This is my review of these but now with different footwear. One thing to understand is one needs to pick out a good shoe. Another, its and I believe I said this before. Don't get greedy. An inch or two in height is noticeable to me when I walk and i'm taller than some people that I work around. I stand about five nine in bare feet so while not short, I just wanted an extra edge. Also, if you're five six and stand six feet others will notice something strange in you're gait as well as your torso. Yes, these are GREAT.......BUT......you need to understand what they are and wear correct shoes. Not just high tops or boots but the right shoes. I have a forty dollar pair of high-top boots that I can place both pieces in and even add another and can be well over six feet tall. Not really that awkward but not very good for more than an hour or two. I've used them with rebock high-tops and can use just the larger one inch lift. Not bad but a little cramped but good support. The best fit for me? I got some Sketchers afterburner with memory foam. Ordered on here but never received so picked them up at Sears on sale for 39.99 and 10 bucks off for 30 bucks. I am a size ten with average with feet. The Skechers I got from Sears were an 10 extra wide. They work much better than the boots and high top sneakers. I place the larger lift in the shoe and it's much less crowded than the Rebock high tops. Even though these are ankle fit shoes, there is still about two inches of coverage. I can lace them tightly and don't have to worry about my ankle rolling nor are my feet smothered. I work in retail and am on my feet about 50 hours per week. If anything, i've found these to be more comfortable as the 1 inch insert is just more padding between me and the concrete floor. My advice, just try these, find the best shoe, and again, don't get greedy. An inch or two does not mess up the way you walk, will make you taller around others, but will not be that dramatic that others will notice you're wearing lifts.
