Keyboard looks and feels like the OEM, but "better"!
OK, so I have a rebranded MS-1782 laptop. They keyboard has always acted up with the RGB since day one, when using certain colors. Like they just never looked right. So after years of use, a few keys started to only work occasionally. Decided it was time to replace it. This keyboard looks and feels like the OEM. But better, in that the colors actually match what it is programmed to. Install though was a pain on the laptop as there is a lot more to disassemble. I have taken apart laptops before, yet this took me around an hour and 45 minutes to complete; granted I had some set backs such as not realizing a part had to go in at an angle and that side first, etc. Overall, I would buy it again and do it again.

A perfect replacement part but installing it takes serious skills
I purchased this vendor's keyboard to replace another one ordered from a different Amazon vendor which arrived bent and broken. This vendor knows how to properly package a keyboard for shipment. Inside the shipping carton, it came within a bubble-wrap envelope inside a stiff protective box. The keyboard was in pristine condition ready to replace the broken one in my MSI GT72S gaming laptop. Replacing this keyboard is long (at least three hours) and difficult. MSI requires that you remove everything else from your machine which includes disconnecting the monitor screen in order to finally get to the metal plate into which the keyboard is screwed. Don't let a novice technician try to replace this; it's a tricky affair. However, after all that work is accomplished, this keyboard works exactly as advertised. It was the perfect replacement part for my needs and I am very happy with it.

Good replacement for 7 y/o MSI GS70
The first keyboard that arrived was tested and some keys didnt work. The seller promptly sent a replacement and it works very well! My GS70 laptop doesn't technically have a serviceable keyboard, so once the aluminum back-panel of the original keyboard is removed (by cutting the plastic welded tabs) it's not going to hold as well unless you adhere the panel back on (not advisable). It would be helpful if the keyboard came with some sort of replacement panel or a way of securing the new keyboard better to the already flimsy laptop casing. Not a deal breaker since I'm still able to type with fair ease.

Quality and QA is severly lacking
As many people who have MSI GT72 laptops know, these keyboards don't last. I get about two years out of them before I have to replace them, since they get grit in the keys, and it is not possible to clean them out. First keyboard I purchased from this seller (Sunmall) had one of the keycaps start rubbing off after only two weeks of light use. Upon close inspection, it seems several other keys were painted very thinly, and started to wear as well. When I say light use, I mean less than an hour a day for two weeks straight. Granted I use the alt key a lot (alt tab), but my last one lasted 2 years with no noticable wear. I put in for a replacement and the new keyboard arrived several days later. Upon trying to install the replacement keyboard, I noticed the PageUp key would not go in (See second picture). I meausred, and the PageUp key on the new keyboard is the wrong keycap! The OEM keyboard has a key width of 12.20mm, and the replacement has a key width of 13.80, but only for that one key. I guess they wrong key got into their assembly line? Poor QA, they should be test fitting these in a jig to ensure proper keycap installation prior to shipping for sure. I've purchased a replacement from a different seller, and will be adding Sunmall to my list of sellers not to purchase from. Hopefully the seller I went with instead gets theirs from a different factory... time will tell.
