Fixed all my internet issues!
I purchased this Zenwifi a couple of weeks ago and have been testing it out before sharing with my take. I’ve tried various routers including extenders and still struggled with unstable connections. I constantly experience internet connection issues downstairs, 3-floor townhouse, as our modem was connected upstairs and there are lots of walls where the signal could be lost. First, I was skeptical that only two units could take care of my internet issues (a router and node) but was surprised when both LED lights shined white (strong good connection). I even connected my parents internet to the regular connection (you could set up a regular and a 5G connection separate) and even though they are downstairs, their signal is very strong. Even on a different floor, streaming Netflix and YouTube is quick with no disruptions and Facetime is smooth with no lag. I’m very happy with its performance and would recommend to anyone looking to improve their internet connection.Setting up was easy too – I’m not a very technical person. It only took me a few minutes to get the system rolling and the app that runs it is an interesting little tool. Relocating the node to a better spot and having it reconnect was quite easy as well. I was able to configure everything through my phone and can manage the connections on my phone from anywhere in the house. I especially like being able to see all connected devices on the network and the ability to control access to individual machines; I can see this as a very useful tool to limit screen time with my littles!!

Good coverage
Good blanket wifi coverage everywhere in the house. If you can run an ethernet cable between the nodes then you will get even lower latency on the aimesh node but even if you dont the 5ghz dedicated backhaul is sufficient

fine if it works, if it doesnt good luck getting a resolution from asus. forcing me to spend big bucks on another brand of router

Easy setup and good coverage for two story house
I needed to upgrade the WiFi system for my parent's house, it is a two story house. I didn't want to go through the attic to run the cable on a two story house , so this is why I decide to use MESH system. I didn't need to worry about the speed reduce by half when I do the bridge. After doing many researches, I decide to go with Asus ZenWiFi because I have used other Asus products, and their product and customer services were great.Pros:1. Easy to setup when you are using mobile APP, and easy to see the status on the APP.2. All the smart devices and security camera are getting good signal and very good coverage for the whole house include back yard and garage.3. Each node have their own LAN port, so I can connect to different devices through wired.4. Lifetime AIProdection Pro and parent control option available.5. The WiFi speed is really good compare to my UBNT UniFi AP and Cisco AP.Cons:1. The price is a little bit higher compare to a few brands, but still worth it.2. Not good angle for power connector.Overall, it is really good MESH system and easy to setup after two weeks of testing. My parents are happy with the upgrade, and I was happy i didn't need to go up to the attic to run the wires!

Works as advertised
General: This zenWiFi system just works... finally something that doesn’t need so much time spent setting up and maintaining... the signal strength across the house is strong. I love being able to LAN 3 devices to each node. I can block access to devices at will. I can share access to friends and family who stop by with a text message or a QR code from the app it’s amazing!!App: The app is pretty user friendly overall, I mean it can do a lot and I’m by no means a master of everything it can do yet... but overall this has been a great product. I have Comcast xfinity at 200mbps so that’s my real limiter otherwise I probably would have splurged for the WiFi6 version of the ASUS zenWiFi system... but until GB internet plans become more affordable and this ridiculous 1TB per month thing goes away I just don’t see the need to be that future proof for the time being...style: I also got to add that the actual routers themselves just look nice and subtle. I was looking for something that wasn’t going to stick out like a sore thumb if I set it on my TV stand in the family room.
