Weller Helping Hands with 4 Magnetic Arms | WLACCHHM-02

I don't solder all the time, but I make cable assemblies from time to time. This is better than any helping hands tool I've used since the arms can be moved anywhere and they're very configurable. I'm sure it'll last a lifetime, otherwise I would buy it again. One minor complaint is that mine came in the manufacturer's box with just shipping labels and tape; I wish it came in an outer box because I plan to keep it in this box for storage.

As expected a good Weller product

I always struggled finding ways to hold my joints together - usually on autos or motorcycles and found it hard to get good joints. Then I tried these helping hands and they are a game changer. The fact that all 4 arms can be attached separately to any magnetic surface makes it easy to hold wires in the right position. My only 2 complaints are pretty minor, and both to do with positioning the arms. First is that the arms won't fold over on themselves very tightly, so it's harder to mount an arm to the top of a surface and loop around to hold a wire from the top side & near the base of the arm. They work better in relatively straight orientations. The second is that the clamps are threaded into the end of each arm and they like to come loose when I'm trying to orient my wires.

Item came very quickly and as described. Well packaged.

I had high hopes for this set but it only works "OK". The problem is that the arms don't stay exactly where you set them so trying to get a guitar cable wire to stay in contact with a 1/4" plug so you can solder it is almost impossible. Also, the jaws aren't big and strong enough to hold a 1/4" plug securely. It may work better for other uses but I purchased it specifically for making guitar cables.

Fajny pomysł ale słabe wykonanie. Duży minus za słabe magnesy. Ramiona nie są elastyczne.

Son fuertes, soportan bien los componentes. Me gustaría que la placa de metal fuera ligeramente más grande. Considero que su precio está algo elevado pero no tiene muchos competidores. Compré otros sujetadores similares y aún que funcionan no tienen la misma calidad tacto-visual que estos.

Könnten aber etwas Biegsamer sein - habe allerdings keinen vergleich zu anderen Produkten

Eccellente prodotto. La base in ferro è grande, pesante e molto ben piazzata, con piedini in gomma che non scivolano. Le aste pieghevoli sono di due diverse misure e hanno base magnetica quindi si possono spostare e togliere quando non servono. I coccodrilli hanno rivestimento gommoso, utile anche come isolante termico. Il sistema di fissaggio in posizione dei coccodrilli funziona bene. Ho già due “terze mani” di quelle con 2 coccodrilli e lente di ingrandimento, ma non c’è paragone con questa base. Una cosa che mi piace moltissimo è che il pcb da lavorare risulta ben rialzato (circa ad altezza viso) e questo fa sì che i fumi del flussante se ne stiano lontani, a differenza di quel che normalmente accade quando le saldature le faccio ad altezza tavolo nel qual caso spesso i fumi tendono a salire verso di me. Infine devo dire anche che la posizione mi permette di essere più preciso nel saldare ed è molto veloce modificare l'orientamento del PCB durante la lavorazione. Ottimo, consigliatissimo.
