Great for jewelry soldering
Great torch. I'm using it for jewelry soldering and works fantastic! The build seems solid, I hope this will last for many years in my workshop. I'll update this review in some months to track process.

Good tool
Plenty of heat, nice control. I used it to solder a connection to the shield of 7/8 inch Andrew heliax cable and it worked beautifully ! Previously I struggled for too long to make the same connection with a heavy duty solder gun. I will keep this tool.

Good torch for fine work, but stiff hose is a bit awkward
I bought this to replace an older Burnzomatic MAPP gas pencil torch which they no longer make. This one seems to work well, but the old one had a really flexible hose which this one does not. Still it's a good torch for what I need. I use it for soldering PL259 and other heavy duty connectors. I wanted something that would use MAPP gas for the extra heat.

Do not purchase!
Do not buy! Product is horrible. It constantly extinguishes itself right when you're about to get it hot enough to melt the silver and make the connection and then it's back to square one. you end up burning the piece nor than anything no matter what you use for flux or spray

i use for jewelry work
enough heat for medium size silver bezels. i added a piece so i can regulate the amount of air feeding the flame so i can get a reducing flame. not bushy enough for anealing wire. ah well, after using this for a while it broke. In order to make the torch so small some parts had to be machined past their capabilities. too bad it worked well while it lasted.

Good torch but hose is too hard.
Good torch, the flame is very precise and blue, I liked the feel and sound of the gas flowing/burning. Unfortunately, the gas regulator which attach to the cylinder, did not work at all and I had to return it. (the torch itself has another regulator). I also found that the hose was very rigid and difficult to uncoil, for precision welding its hard to deal with the hose shape, when trying to move the torch the hose will not uncoil and actually drag the cylinder with it, you need two hands to get the hose straight, it's a bit aggravating. For that reason I decided not to have it replaced, just returned.
