theBalm Meet Matt(e) Hughes Liquid Lipstick

The picture for this product is better than what was when I bought it, and honestly, had I been able to see that, I'd have chosen another color. The red of this stain is RED--REALLY, REALLY RED. This is great if true reds work with your skin tone,but for mine, I'm far too golden-y/pale to carry that off and still look good. I mute it a bit with a light brown eyeshadow that I no longer use, and the color that results is perfect for me. Since this is a stain, you'd better mean where you put it, because it's not coming off without a fight. Yes, it will fade slightly as the day goes on, but even after 10 hours, there is still a very noticeable trace of the color on my lips. The product smells wonderful, like vanilla mint, and it applies very easily. I strongly suggest NOT using the wand because there's a higher possibility you'll go outside your natural lip line accidentally, thereby making you look like you downed a gallon of red Kool-Aid before leaving the house. Trust me, this is a thing that happened. It's a bit pricey, but you're getting a stain that's very rich in texture and in pigment, which means you won't spend the day putting it on over and over. It does hold up well against cheesburgers, beers, tacos, salsa and chips, and moderate make-out sessions.

While the color i purchased, Loyal, was just a hint darker than I had initially expected, I am pleased overall with the wear and color of the lipstick. As it is a matte formula it does last for a long time (as of the wear today it had about 7.5 hours until it needed reapplication. It fades through eating and drinking (but not as fast as a cream or satin lipstick) and layers over itself very well for when you do need to reapply it. That being said it is not completely matte (and thus not totally transfer proof), and has a light stick when you press your lips together. It doesn't stick to dry patches badly and also does not dry out your lips. As for the amount that you receive it is about 0.25 oz, which is slightly more than the popular KVD Liquid Lipsticks and much more than Lime Crime Velvetines. As for the wand's tip is slightly stiff and scratchy (not bad, but I prefer a softer none like KVD's). As for scent it smells just like a peppermint patty :)

LOVE this color, for best most natural look dav a bit on lips, mottle lios together, and use pinkie to blot color together, then do let sit for the 15 seconds recommended. A tiny dab of lip balm in the center makes it even more comfortable/not too matte

Works like it should. Great matte finish. Smudge resistance. Lasts a long time. Great texture. Perfect stickiness.

just a little bit darker than I thought but I adore this lip stick!! I am a makeup newbie and I watched some review videos and tried this out, along with "committed". Apply and leave on for about ten-fifteen minutes, like it says on the directions. It will stay on all day!! Just be careful when eating greasy foods, but that probably goes without saying. It dries out my lips just a little but before I put it on, I use chapstick and let it sit for a little bit while I'm getting ready for work or school, and then apply the lip stick. The applicator is also a sort of foamy tip, I prefer using a small hard angled brush to get a cleaner lip line. Will buy more!!

I cannot say enough about this! I love love love the color. It is the perfect blue toned deep red for a retro lip look. (Think Gwen Stefani.) It applies like a gloss and dries to a slightly tacky texture. This may bother some, but to me, it allows me to know the product is still where it should be without needing a mirror. There is some product transfer if you eat or drink. Quick smooches leave no red on your significant other, but this would make a mess for a makeout. The best part is, I wore it for my WHOLE work day without reapplying. I still had fabulous red lips at the end of the day. I did not even reapply after lunch, though I did check a mirror to ensure it wasn't moving around. There was some movement to the inside corners of my lips around mid afternoon - this happens to me with every lip product. A quick swipe with my finger or tissue fixed it. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone. HOWEVER, of two colors I have tried in this product line, ONLY this color performs to this standard. I have not had the same luck with another color, Committed.

When I say product packaging, I don't mean the shipping packaging. No, I mean the tube itself. The top to the wand is metal which is nice, the tube is glass. The color is a bit brighter than I thought, much like Kat Von D's "Outlaw". Not a bad thing, but I have very light skin so I like darker shades. That was a mistake on my part. It doesn't have that little plastic thing inside the rim of the tube that prevents large amounts of formula from getting on the wand, which is a mega bummer. Especially since it really needs it. So if you're not careful, this can be messy. As for the formula itself, it is very nice. It's creamy and it smells like those mints that you get at Olive Garden after your meal. It applies well and takes about three to four minutes to dry completely, so if you put it on, wait about a minute, and then kiss your hand, it's gonna come off a bit. So be patient! Once dry, very little of it comes off. I'd recommend putting on a light amount of lip balm and then blotting so it doesn't feel sticky. Overall, I'm pleased... just not with the lack of that plastic thing inside the rim of the tube. That's my only complaint.

I’ve tried a ton of matte liquid lipsticks and this by far is the best. ‘Loyal’ is, IMO, the perfect red. I have tried no less than 6 other red colors, in other brands, and they were either too pink, too orange or not dark enough. I have very fair skin with cool undertones and red is so hard to find. Not anymore...Loyal is perfect! Great stayingpower and doesn’t streak or smear. I did not touch up my lips in this photo nor change the color in any way. I did smooth out the area around my lips so that the focus would be on my lips.

As someone who wears lipstick everyday, I have a huge collection in every formula. I’d almost given up on liquid lipsticks but love this shade & decided to give it a try. This is simply one of the best formulas - applies smoothly, doesnt settle into fine lines, lightweight & doesnt crumble. Its got a minty smell, feels somewhat sticky till it dries down to a complete matte and then its transfer-proof. The shade is a peachy-coral - perfect for summer & predicted to be a hot favourite in 2018. This applies a bit streaky though & need 2 coats. Its not difficult to remove this as I just use micellar water.

Packaging perfette condizioni prodotto già noto di alta qualità. Tenuta oltre 8 ore non mangiando,resiste comunque a tutti gli alimenti privi di olio. L'unico lato negativo è che secca un po' le labbra.
