If you want to use this warmer to keep food worm quick in a double container configuration then pour hot water in it. If you put cold water then expect to give it over an hour so it can heat up. Use a double-container to keep your food warm in the second container. Your food will never burn sitting in a water bath.

I should have ordered pans to separate our meats at the picnic but am sure I am the only one it bothered because the food stayed hot the entire time!

Only thing that was different than usual was the power chord is located in the front end by the thermostat and on/off light. It actually worked out ok for where I was using it but normally the chords are in the rear of unit

Love it! Perfect for our Senior Cafe!!Good for Counter top use. Can easily manage to dump water. Would be great if it had a drain of some sort. Would not want to have to lift it with water in it!!
