So I got 2 different fire pit mats at the same price, and this one was the winner hands down! I wish I had returned the other one but forgot to before the window closed. So I guess I’ll donate it or give it away as it’s thin and too small for our fire pit. This has a great thickness to it, and it gives me peace of mind when we use our fire pit on our wooden deck. For the price, quality and size, this mat can’t be beat!

This thing is great. I've dropped so much roasting hot coals on this thing with no material reaction. That being said I do not know if there is any heat transfer through the material. But I got one of those fire "proof" mats and that this has melted into an unrecognized mass. And I do have scorch marks on my wood floors from where the mat was NOT on the floor

If you have a camper hot tent stove, this is a gotta have. Even if your hot tin stove doesn’t have a foot mount, you want to be protecting of the grass sometimes forest fires can get started with one spark that ignite underground on a tree route that you didn’t notice. You also want to be protecting of the grass in the environment. This can also be used on a concrete slab patio. It’ll protect the slab from getting certain ash stained and sometimes concrete and crack from intense heat. If it’s new this does all that. Bottom line safer and cleaner.

Fire protection for those small hot pieces that fall from the BBQ or fire pit edges.

This sits underneath my patio table and I am hoping that it will prevent any errant embers from burning my porch. I will be very cautious the first couple of small fires, to be sure.
