I think the negative reviews come from persons who do not have Caucasian skin and find that it leaves a white cast. Those persons should try out one of the tinted or slightly tinted versions. As a Causation woman, this sunscreen is very matte (I never have to blot my oily skin) and it covers dark eye circles, redness and other imperfections. I get compliments on my beautiful skin which it is definitely not at all! Blackheads, redness, dark spots, dark under eye circles, you name it! It blends easily and you don’t need much to cover your face and neck. I do not need to use any foundation when I use this primer/ sunscreen. And it really lasts with no breakouts ever. Please give it a try.

I prefer this non tinted version to the tinted version. I have used both, but I want to see where the cream goes and the tinted version blends in so well I don't even know if I applied evenly. This white version is perfect. It also has an extra plus in its UVA rating (PA++++ vs PA+++), even though the percentage of active ingredients are the same. I probably don't use the required 1/4 teaspoon when applying it to my face, so it goes on perfectly sheer without obvious white cast. I am Asian with relatively pale skin. So far after a week of daily application my skin is very calm, without any signs of breaking out. I have tried so many sunscreens and all of them broke me out after a few applications. This sunscreen is my holy grail and the only downside is the high price for such a tiny tube.

Buy a tinted and non-tinted of the facial sunblock and mix the two together in the palm of your hand to get your shade of skin before applying. This sunblock is so gentle you can apply it around your eyes and it won’t irritate them. I have been using this for years and it is a physical sunblock using titanium & zinc. If you have problems with the sun and blister, like porphyria, lupus, solar urticaria, skin cancer….this is the sunblock for you.

A little more than I typically spend on a sunscreen but I was looking for something that I could wear under my makeup or alone. This works for me and actually has more coverage than I expected while also lightweight. I was pleasantly surprised that the matte really does help to control shine throughout the day for me.

I have literally tried every “mattifying” spf on the market and they all leave me immediately shiny. Except this. This is my new summertime holy grail spf for my oily skin in hot and humid weather. (In winter, I need a little more moisture so I use neutrogena hydro boost water gel with spf 25). Yes, this cotz leaves a subtle white cast, but I put it on under my foundation so that’s irrelevant. For someone with darker skin it probably would be more noticeable. I will never not have this again. LOVE
