Effective, but maybe too effective for certain materials
My poor thermal shirt. It arrived smelling so strongly of perfume that I had no choice but to strip the color out of it. I used this color remover, and wow — it worked. It pulled the dye right out, but left the once camouflagecolor fabric a mustard yellow. After that, the shirt wouldn’t accept any black or blue pigment no matter what I tried. So yes, the product is powerful and absolutely removes color, but be aware that some fabrics may not re‑dye well afterward.

My go to fabric colour remover! Always works!
Have used this many times and always get a guaranteed result…it’s a pain that it’s a stovetop method but it does get if not all then 95% colour out quickly and you can almost see it happening! Simple to use…(make sure you’re in a well ventilated area as it’s potent!) heat the water, add the powder, add the items (you need a big container and don’t overcrowd it, I have a large jam pan I use for this and only put 2 up to 5xl T-shirts in at once. My pan doesn’t have a lid so I cover it with tin foil to keep the temperature consistent and I’ve never had any problems.), yes it’s hot work and you have to keep it moving by stirring it and you really should use all metal stuff and only for non food but I find it’s worth it. I find sometimes you need to do it twice if the colour is strong but it’s the best on the market and doesn’t wreck the fibres and gives great consistency. I’m not one for always separating my whites from colours so everything slowly turns to grey or blue but one evening spent doing this to all my “white” clothes and they’re back to white again….even the ones with printed logos don’t lose much of the printed design colours so it really seems to only affect the cloth fibres. This time the aim was to remove P20 suncream stains from some old T-shirts as I’ve lost weight since I relegated them to the chores only pile due to the staining…now I have a load of pristine T-shirts again…just in time for the summer!

Better than I had hoped for!
Did better than expected, given what I had to work with. I have 3 white towels that just weren't so white anymore. Part of the problem was just age. Part of the problem was dark things that had bled onto them in the wash. (Yes, I wash stuff together on cold. Don't judge me.) I ordered this, in hopes of it restoring the whiteness. I didn't realize when I ordered it that it requires hot water in order to work. Which I don't have in my washing machine setup. The workaround was hot water in the kitchen sink. I used 3 pouches of this to a sink of hot water. Let them soak for about 30 mins. When i took them out, i could already see improvement. Then washed them in the washing machine on cold with double the usual liquid detergent and about triple the usual bleach. They are 99% white again. If my setup had been better, I'm sure my results would have been 100%. Definitely 5 stars. If this happens again, I'll definitely buy more
