Finally, My Baby Has Better Facial Hair Than I Do
These pacifiers have transformed my son into a rotating cast of deeply suspicious characters. One minute he’s a tiny Victorian landlord arriving to raise the rent. The next, he’s a toothless vampire who has recently discovered teeth. Then the buck-tooth pacifier goes in, and suddenly he looks like he’s about to explain why there’s a carrot shortage. The mustache is easily the star of the collection. It gives the baby an immediate air of authority, as though he has just returned from a difficult business meeting and would now like his bottle warmed to precisely 98.6 degrees. The oversized teeth are equally ridiculous, especially when paired with an otherwise completely serious baby expression. I have taken approximately 700 photos and regret none of them. The pacifiers themselves work well enough, but the plastic feels a little cheaper than I expected. They’re more “funny photo prop that also happens to be a pacifier” than “luxury infant mouth equipment.” I wouldn’t expect them to survive being passed down through several generations, particularly once the baby begins throwing things with the accuracy of a professional baseball pitcher. Still, for the price, they are absolutely worth it. The baby seems entertained, the adults are crying with laughter, and our family photo album now contains evidence that our son briefly worked as a silent-film villain. Four stars. Hilarious, adorable, and capable of making your baby look like he has a mortgage—but the material quality keeps it from earning the full five.
