Third Eye Headlamps - Stylish Replacement Headbands - Soft, Adjustable, Universal, Fits Most Headlamps

Too nice! Very nice pattern and bright color (helps finding the headlamp in the dark) The band is very thick and durable, provides very solid hold and doesn't bounce around when running after my dog. It's so thick, I need to stretch it a bit to allow the light housing to go to it's full upright position. I would definitely buy another one from here and wholeheartedly recommend!

This replacement headband was used to replace the original headstrap on a Petzl Pixa that had gradually lost its elasticity. Before attempting to install the new strap, I strongly recommend viewing the extremely helpful installation video at the manufacturer website (Amazon does not permit hyperlinks to be included in a product review but it is easy to google. The small business card included with the product also has this link printed on it.) The video -clearly- shows that the headband is NOT a continuous loop (some of the ranting 1 star review incorrectly state that the headband is a continuous loop) which allows you to use it as a Petzl headband replacement. After you undo the Third Eye headstrap from their slotted clip, there is some patience required (profanity level: ~3/10) to stuff the headband fabric through the corresponding narrow slits of the Petzl mounting plate; other than that, it was pretty straightforward. There is an adequate range of adjustment for an average sized adult male's head -- I was able to adjust it from uncomfortably snug all the way to falling-off-the-forehead loose. There is a surprising dearth of products like this that can replace headlamp bands regardless of manufacturer. I'd like this band to last as long as possible; as such it should be noted that Petzl's own website suggests avoiding hanging the headlamp by the strap during storage, to maximize headband lifespan. (I wish I had known this before, as the headstrap I'm replacing had been hanging by the headband from a hook in the garage for several years!)

It was a bit tight when I first got it, so I stretched it over a board and left it for six months to see it that would help.Then I realized that I had just not adjusted it properly, Duh! I have now installed it, super easy and it works wonderfully! I am back to buy another one. I am updating my review. I love these replacement bands! I have just ordered my fourth one for the four Black Diamond headlamps. I have one in car, one for dog walking and night time gardening, and one for reading in bed at night, (way better than a book light). The ones that Black Diamond comes with are not very well made and lose most of their elasticity within a year. The replacement bands made by Third Eye are much better quality and overall the lamp feels much more secure on my head. Update 2021: I have just ordered three more for some cheap headlamps, "Defiant" brand, perhaps from Home Depot. We tried using one of our other Third Eye bands on them and they work fine.

Got it on time and headband is as per description. The quality is good and the Baja color theme very nice. Colors seem a bit faded compared to the photos but it makes a nice style and I am very happy with it. You can't compare stiffness/solidity to Petzl headbands for example, this is a more simple one but it fits my headlamps perfectly and with a few adjustments the job is done, even with my Armytek Wizard Pro which weights 150gr, it doesn't bounce at all and the band is comfortable. A good and nice product. Maybe less suitable for people looking for high performance/sport material, but it would fit everyone who have a normal outdoor/sport usage of headlamps, but with style! hahaha

I bought a Sofirn HS21 for work. I knew I would need to find an alternate headband as I hate headbands that have the strap going over the top of your head. I don't need my perfectly styled hairdo to be marred down, dammit! In comes Third Eye's single-strap headband with many great artistic stylings for you to choose from. I don't know what else to say other than it works great with my headlamp, and has held up to many wearings over the past two months. My only request? Create a section on your website to allow us to upload an image to create our own styled handband from you all, that would be pretty dang sweet.

Cute pattern, sturdy headband, fully adjustable, perfect for my Coast headlamp, which is bigger-brighter-heavier than my Nitecore lamp used for hiking. Third Eye does not have any silicone liner strips, in case you prefer having the strips to help with slippage. I am not anticipating any slippage problems. This headband is a continuous loop, so the frame where you attach the headband much have cut-outs. You are not able to feed the band through, as in a belt buckle, where the belt is open on both ends.

I'm so glad to finally come across this headband which I was able to install on my 16 year-old Petzl Tikka Plus 2. I was almost ready to give up on finding a replacement strap that would fit through the narrow slot on my outmoded Petzyl.

I was ready to throw out my headlamp due to the elastic failing. I needed to adjust it every time I used the headlamp. This product gave new life to my headlamp, which was a gift from my sons.

This is a great replacement head band. Had it out a back country tour the last week, no slippage or sliding around on my head. even better than the original that cam with my petzl. The only reason for the 4 stars was the pattern on it what I thought looked good and does.... is that as the day turns to night if it is sitting on the ground or the tent floor is hard to see as it blends in very nicely...lol. I may need a brighter color for night time.
