Smooth needles

Rough, somewhat warped, but ok after a bit of work turning an ugly ducking into a swan.
I expected a higher quality product from Boye. These were quite rough when received, and several were rather warped. This was a discounted set, and was missing an end stop. Fixed that with a wooden bead. Then, as the set was not returnable, I set to work sanding them smooth. After using progressively finer grits, they became glossy and smooth. And part of the beauty of bamboo needles, I was able to reshape the points to my liking.
