It only lasted a little over a year compared to over six years for the one that came with my truck. That was very disappointing considering all the work it takes to get the headlight housing out to change the light. I am hoping that I just got a bad one and am trying again because it cost half what others are asking. I am hoping this one will last as long as the original. The one in the other headlight (the original) is over eight years old and still going strong.

This lamp is as close to OEM as you can get. Stay away from the lamps with the yellow or blue lenses. Those aftermarket style items will offer you distorted light, essentially offering less efficiency than this original style halogen lamp with clear glass.I think that the GE H13 is also an acceptable item.As a matter of additional discussion this is a "lamp" and not a "bulb" contrary to marketing titles. A "bulb" strictly refers to the glass part. The "lamp" refers to the entire assembly, ready for electrification.
