Great device - instant connection to Win 11 PC - replaced internal Sound Blaster PCie card that suddenly stopped working, while it was good and worked in another machine, having lost connection to the Win 11 Driver

5 stars because it does what it's supposed to do. it sounds just as good as my internal sound card. i got this to be able practice DJ transitions on my laptop with an active cue channel that's separate from the main channels and it does it perfectly. it's lightweight, compact and installs itself so there is literally 0 setup other than waiting for your machine to download and install the drivers (which takes all of 10 seconds). if you're looking at this for laptop DJing purposes then it'll do the job.

I bought this because my work laptop has terrible audio, very, very noisy audio out. This solved that problem, but it still has some digital audio noise going on. You have to crank down the mic to 50% in Windows settings or else people in meetings will hear a constant high pitched audio buzz from you. It's pretty quiet with regular line-out too, not perfectly quiet but good enough. Great for the price.

The macbook was brain dead (no bootcamp or operating system. After a windows only install the audio did not work. This adapter fixed the problem. I bought it several years ago and it's still working.

My motherboard integrated port was putting out sound in one speaker. I bought this, it arrived the next day and I had sound on both speakers when I plugged it into the USB port. This was on Unbuntu. I am very impressed how easy this was compared the the old DOS days when you held your breath that it was going to work.

The sound is fine but the volume will suddenly go up and down and cannot be controlled. I wonder if I got a bad one or not. Will try it more and will return if the volume is still out of control
