It has a beautiful, sparkly shine. It's heavy and solidly constructed. It has a nice, heavy clasp that stays shut. I never take it off and the shine has not tarnished at all. I was surprised how well made this chain is, especially for the cost, which was about half the price of another chain at which I had looked. I'm glad I bought it and it was well worth every penny. You can't go wrong with this chain. It is exceptional is every aspect of quality, fit, and finish.
