Douwe Egberts Aroma Rood Ground Coffee 17.6oz/500g

I drink my coffee black and I must say this is the best tasting coffee I have ever had. Smooth and not bitter, just an amazing coffee

My husband and I absolutely LOVE this coffee—it's the only coffee we drink. Every morning the aroma fills the kitchen and instantly wakes me up. It’s such a welcoming, comforting smell that really starts the day off right.The flavor is smooth and rich without any bitterness. It has a nice strength to it, but it’s not overpowering or too strong, which makes it perfect for everyday drinking. It’s just a well-balanced, satisfying cup of coffee every time.This has become our go-to “cup of Joe” to get our day moving, and we honestly look forward to it every morning. If you like a smooth, aromatic coffee that’s flavorful without being harsh, this one is definitely worth trying.

Very good coffee

I reviewed their beans, but I started with this. You may have already had this coffee in a diner or restaurant. The coffee you thought was so darn good that you wanted to take home a 50 gallon drum of it with you. This is it. Just a very enjoyable and satisfying coffee. The type that brings back memories of having had it before and where. So get some, make a pot and sit and enjoy some of the best coffee you've ever had.

I am now trying another Douwe Egberts dark roast. I will rate it a 4 or 5 star I like it also it may be better than Aroma Rood. I will save the highest rating for the coffee that is made from the beans that have been digested by the civet cat. It is the most expensive and one of the best coffees on the market.

The Douwe Egberts Aroma Rood coffee was already expired and stale and flavorless, it was already past it's expiration date when it was SHIPPED. I ordered this expensive Douwe Egberts coffee on March 22, 2025 and it was shipped on March 24, 2025, and delivered on March 25, 2025 and the expiration date on top of the bag was March 15, 2025. The bag was still vacuum packed and sealed but it had no aroma, and was stale and flat when brewed. I have bought Douwe Egberts Aroma Rood in the past and it was really flavorful and worth the money. This was a total disappointment and waste of money. AMAZON SHOULD NOT SHIP EXPIRED FOOD PRODUCTS!

I originally ordered this coffee for a friend who is from The Netherlands. I meant to order the coffee beans and for some reason, mistakenly ordered the ground coffee. I decided to use it myself and I love it. This particular one is a medium blend and that is what I prefer....it still had the richness I was looking for and very flavorful. I would buy it again.

Enjoyed this coffee many years ago when a Dutchman introduced it to me. At that time it was in wider circulation so could buy it in some supermarkets. Had forgotten about it over the years and while looking at products available on Amazon was pleasantly surprised to see it there. All that a good coffee should be.
