I bought this coffee many years ago and highly recommend it!! I was at a Nursing Home for a social event and after enjoying their delicious cup of coffee, asked what brand they used. It was this brand! I just HAD to order some online. The coffee had a fresh smooth flavor, with no bitterness. The price wasn't outrageously expensive! My only request is that they would have it Organic!

Coming from Germany, I'm used to drinking high quality coffee. This brand is generally tasty when it's fresh. When I received it from Amazon, it was just 2 months from the expiration date, so it has no aroma since it's no longer fresh. For American food standards, it's still good and doesn't have the bitterness and burnt taste of American coffee brands.

We drank this coffee for some time its delicious bold flavor but can't afford it anymore. It was low acidity for me so it was great in that sense also.

I’ve had Douwe Egberts at the casino in Reno and Vegas and it’s flat out amazing coffee! I buy it on Amazon and it’s good but just not the same. Either I’m buying the wrong kind or it’s just not the same quality. The Aroma Rood tastes very breakfastblend and similar to Costa coffee. This roast is still really good coffee but not quite what I was looking to have that I tried in Reno at the GSR. Ill buy a different roast of theirs to make sure I didn’t just buy the wrong one. Still a good product, you’ll be happy.

A friend spoke about Douwe Egbert coffee shops in the mid-west and how delicious the coffee was. Indeed, the bag I received in July was delicious. I re ordered in September, and the taste was definitely more bitter. The original had no bite, simply smooth, aromatic, and tasty. I compared pictures on my two orders, they are now both are in Dutch, whereas my original package was in English. That’s my only clue. Unfortunately, won’t be ordering again.

Who would have thought anyone would find the absolute best coffee in a small diner not far from where I lived for years. I've been drinking coffee for decades with cream and sugar but have been cutting back on them the older I get. Just like other reviewers have stated this brand will change you forever if you use cream and sugar to kill some of the bitterness and acid in some coffees. This stuff is super smooth with no bitterness or super strong taste. I now drink straight black coffee thanks to this brand. Never have any stomach issue from it either. I use a Keurig 2.0 with 2 table spoons in a reusable k-cup and the 10oz setting and that's my sweet spot. I'm sure you could do some experimenting and find other settings to your taste. For the price here you have to give it a chance. I like others here will assure you it'll be a top favorite at least if not your new go to. Excellent !

I really dislike coffee that is bitter or too strong. I first tasted this coffee in a restaurant, and was so impressed by how delicious and smooth it was, I asked the waitress to find out from the kitchen what brand they were using, and was told it was Douwe Egberts Aroma Rood Ground medium roast Coffee. As soon as I got home I looked it up on the computer and started ordering. It has not changed over the years, except that Amazon is now carrying it! A winner all around!
