Head Unisex – Adult's Lynx Tour Tennis String

Im in love with this strings. I used to play with the Head Hawk Touch (Zverev) and they were good but not my style of play because of a POP it had but this babies does not have that extra pop, that means, the ball will travel depending on your strength. This translate to me in more balls inside the court, you can fell the improvement on the top spin plus, there is a lot of control. That doesn't means you have to be super strong to cross it. Not at all. But when in the baseline, you can do it with all you can and that ball will go in, with a good top spin and good precision. Its not expensive compared to other good one like Luxilon but it does feels alike. I hope the durability is like the Hawk Touch.

Great string. Needs to lower the tension by around 10% if you use synthetic gut or other similar string so not to harm your arm.

I want to like these strings - they are a good price and hold tension well. However they hurt my arm, and they just don’t play well. I back to using rpm blast

The best string for me. Other people think it is springy at low tensions, but for me the ball hangs on the string-bed so long I can make adjustments even after contact. Gauging the depth and direction of the hit is also easy, so I can follow through and recover much more confidently. It also generates a lot of spin, but not so much that it compromises on power or consistency.

I used the champagne 17g (1.25 mm) version of HEAD Lynx Tour as the mains at 44 lb in a 100 sq. in. Tecnifibre T-Fight 295, paired with Toroline O‑TORO Spin 17g crosses at 42 lb. I had previously used a full bed of Lynx Tour and liked its control, spin, and overall response. Its accuracy eventually faded after a couple of months of use, which is not unreasonable for a poly, but I wanted to try it with a slicker cross string. This hybrid played very similarly to the full bed, with the main difference being a slightly better ball-pocketing sensation on groundstrokes. Spin, net play, and longevity were otherwise comparable. I played this hybrid for about six months, which was longer than I should have left it in. The strings eventually developed noticeable notching and lost some of their action, even though they had not broken. I would restring earlier next time to maintain the best control and snapback. In my opinion, Lynx Tour is one of the best shaped polyester strings available. It is right up there with Volkl Cyclone and Solinco Confidential for players who want a predictable, control-oriented string with good spin. It is not a soft or powerful option, but at 44 lb it gave me a comfortable enough response and confidence to swing freely. Independent playtests likewise characterize Lynx Tour 17g as a firm, control-focused co-poly with strong spin, durability, and above-average playability duration. I would absolutely buy it again, both as a full bed and as the mains in a hybrid set.

Very good string. I get great control and spin. But it doesn’t feel too stiff like other polys. Still get good pop on the ball.

I’ve used this string for a few weeks now and I’d say it’s okay overall, but not amazing for my game. The control is definitely there. Shots feel more predictable, especially on groundstrokes, and I noticed I could swing harder without sending the ball long. Spin was also pretty solid once I got used to it. Where it lost points for me was comfort and feel. It felt a little stiffer than I expected, especially on longer hitting sessions. After about an hour my arm felt more tired than usual. If you already like polyester strings, this may not bother you, but if you’re coming from softer strings you’ll notice it right away. Durability seems fine so far, no complaints there. It held tension decent enough for a budget string, but after several sessions it started to feel a little dead. Not terrible, just less lively. For $12 it’s not a bad deal, but I probably wouldn’t buy it again for myself. Better suited for players who want control and spin more than comfort. Solid average string, just not the perfect match for everyone.
