I replaced my old plastic one with this cuz of three different sized plates, its great, comes in durable box that can be used for storing it after use... grinder body itself isn’t dishwasher but i always hand wash all my kitchenaid stuff... solid construction and works great 👍

I had the plastic food grinder before getting this metal version. Worth every penny! Cuts working time in half and cleaning is a breeze. I wish I had made this purchase much sooner!

I have already used it a few times. It does its job very well, it is easy to use and wash. Good quality material. I wasn't confident at first. I thought it wasn't genuine. It came very nicely packed in a box, with all the accessories from the picture. So ... yes, I recommend it.

Great purchase! We bought this to make feeding our dog less time consuming and less taxing physically. It crushed her meat and chicken necks and veggies with ease. Despite losing her after only a few months, I’m glad we bought it. I can foresee it being excellent help later on, especially for the next pup that comes our way. It’s a breeze to clean too!!

"This grinder does not work!" was what I said when I bought it. I did all the right things. I used small chunks of beef, the beef was very cold (nearly frozen), I worked a couple of small pieces at a time. The chunks of meat went into the grinder...and I never saw it again. The grinder chewed it up but never cut it into the bowl. It just kept getting backed up, so much so that I had to go to the nearby hardware store and by a oil cap remover to unscrew the grinder lid because of how severely it was stuck. I finally get the lid off and began unclogging the meat and cleaning the device. I had every intention to return the unit. But, something interesting happened while I was washing the grinder. I noticed that I had the fan blade turned backwards! USER. ERROR!! I kept the device clean and decided that I was going to try it one more time the next day. I just didn't have the energy to try it again that night. The next day came. I looked at the unit and got to work, making sure that I slid the fan blade on properly and making sure that I placed the grate on properly. Then, I used cold meat and began dropping beef chunks into the grinder. SEAMLESS! This thing works so well on the Kitchenaid! It cuts the meat cleanly and spills it into your bowl very smoothly. I was so impressed. And when I tell you that I took that ground chuck roast and made homemade lasagna that night! Wow! So please, if you are even thinking that you MIGHT want a grinder: this is the one you need! I can't wait until tomorrow to try out the sausage maker attachment that comes with it. Let me add the fact that it is SO easy to clean. The pieces come apart very easily, and it even comes with a tube brush to clean the valve. You can probably wash this in about 2-3 minutes by hand. This thing is going to make the best burgers and sausage and whatever else. Buy it, buy it, buy it!
