I’m 5’8,155lbs and usually wear a size 38 short. would a s or m fit best?

My husband is just under 5'8", weighs 140 ish and wears a small in the viscose Coofandy jacket. I suppose the polyester is the same proportion.

Am 6ft and I wear size 42 slim fit (Australia) (chest 22.25in, shoulder 19.5, length 29.5in, sleeve 19in). Please advise what size to buy?
