Shining Semi Permanent Hair Colour, 114 Violet Gem | Vegan & Cruelty-Free Purple Hair Dye | No Ammonia, No Peroxide, No Alcohol

I recently placed an order for a 3-pack of 118ml bottles, but unfortunately, I only received 1 bottle. I was really looking forward to receiving the full order, and I’m disappointed with the mistake. 😔

The color is beautiful and if you have gray this product is good!

El color es bonito, aunque hay que tener cuidado con los tonos lilas (en general de cuqlquier marca de tinte) porque a veces son un poco una lotería según cómo tengas de base tu cabello y con qué esmero te esparzas el tinte. Yo tengo el cabello abundante y largo por media espalda y me ha cundido mucho un sólo bote, para mi sorpresa. Normalmente necesito dos botes o uno y medio, pero en esta ocasión, con uno me ha ido sorprendentemente bien. No ha sobrado, eso sí, pero vaya! El tinte en sí tiene un olor curioso, no es molesto pero no es un olor al que esté habotiada con tema tintes. En fin, me compré tres botes par ir sobre seguro, así que tengo para otras veces.

Great colour

Before dying: I had faded raspberry rebel live hair dye on the front and under layer and punk purple live hair dye on the rest of my head. My hair is long reaching down to my breast. To be honest I didn’t follow the instructions on the tube because dye needs to take longer than 15 minutes to process and I didn’t wash with shampoo after because all that hard work would’ve been washed away. During dying process: I had mixed two squeezes of manuka honey conditioner with one layer of pink hair dye with the basin of my typical black tint mixing bowl. I remembered to damp my hair with some splashes of water to open the hair follicle up, it went on well saturating my hair fully. For the purple I did 2:1 of conditioner to dye doing this twice for both sides of my hair. I had forgotten to damp my hair on my right side but the results were the same. It layered on well with my original purple hair. After that I left it on with a bag tied around it for approx 30-40 mins keep in mind the pink went on first so had been sitting there for a full hour. Washing it: It bled a lot in the first moment, I only used conditioner when I was fully satisfied with the clear water. I used the same conditioner as mixing and then used Argon oil to saturate my hair. Dried: My hair feels lovely and nice, there is some patchiness from my original fade on the purple live hair dye but overall it has brought life back to my fading hair. I would really recommend people try this, you can use straight from the bottle or mix with conditioner and still get bright colours. To be put into comparison, live hair dye costs the same but only has 50 ml of dye, this has 118 ml and can be used year round after being opened.

I’m a beginner hair dyer, and this is the most of my hair I have ever dyed before. However, it was very easy to use and we somehow managed not to stain anything. After applying both colors, we put a plastic bag over my hair and blow dried on low for 15 minutes. It worked great, and turned out very pink and vibrant. I used the violet gem and raspberry twist colors. My one complaint is that the purple turned out a bit more pinkish than I was expecting, however it was still a very nice color. I would definitely recommend using gloves and covering your work surface, since it was very staining. You also have to watch out for transfer when it’s still wet, at least for the first day or two. Fortunately, once it was dry, it didn’t transfer any color onto my white pillowcase, even on the first night of having it. It also seemed gentle enough on my hair, and left it in pretty good condition. Also- if you don’t have a specialized brush for applying the color, a toothbrush comes in pretty handy :)
