Stanley Nineteen13 One Handed H20 Bottle

I bought this to be go-to water bottle for Burning Man and I expect it'll do great – easy one-finger open-close valve and a tough exterior make it ideal.

I've had this waterbottle for about a week and so far I like it. Two observations: 1: the base is a little too large to fit in the cupholder of my Honda CR-V, I set it on passenger seat. 2: the length is awkward as it hits the ceiling of my car, but I'm working around it. Very convenient if you spend a lot of time in the car. You can always have water without having to waste a ton of plastic bottles.

I've posted some pictures showing this bottle in close-up. I really like how this bottle looks and feels. The fill opening is nice and large, so I can fill this very quickly, even using water bubblers. When I press the button to open the top for drinking the water comes out at a regular rate whatever the bottle angle is. I can drink while moving about without getting water all over my shirt. I haven't had it long enough to judge how it holds up overall. I'll try to do this after a few months. Update: My bottle started leaking from the push button area. Sometimes it's only a drop, but it can be a fast series of drops. I called Stanley and they're going to send me a replacement cap. I'm hoping that will fix the problem. Update, February 2012. The replacement cap fixed the problem and I've used this bottle daily ever since. I can throw it in the bottom of a bag without worrying about soaking other things. And I still love the way the water comes out slowly enough that I've never gotten a huge mouthful, or had my shirt soaked by a big gush of water.

I was extremely disappointed with this purchase. These bottles do NOT keep anything cold.

I've got the smaller version of this and like it a lot. After having it a few years it's getting pretty worn, so i thought I'd try the larger version. Not satisfactory at all. It leaks if it's not vertical. Useless!

First the pros: The style and design of the bottle is very cool. I got mine in the stormtrooper color. The matted feel of the stainless steel body is very nice- it has a bit of friction but still feels smooth. It is also true that the bottle is easy to use with one hand while running or cycling. Finally, it is slim and as a result fits into most cup-holders easily. Now the cons: At the time of this review the colors do not match the product images on Amazon. The stormtrooper bottle is white, the Blackhawk color is black and not the bronze color that is currently shown. I'm sure that's not the right image for the Camo color either. The lid piece, which is the only piece of the bottle that moving part, is in my opinion the most important aspect of the bottle. The large orange button on the side doesn't click as you might imagine but rather feels more like a pump. The internal components appear to be made of cheap plastic material and I have a feeling this thing will jam or break after a few months of daily usage. The loop on the opposite side of the button is not rigid but made of soft rubber. Some people may like that, but I would rather the loop and the lid be one solid piece. The loop feels flimsy and I feel like if I held the bottle by hooking my finger through it (like I do with my Sigg bottle) the rubbery loop may tear. There it is. I'll update this review after a few months of usage.
