Urth Lens Mount Adapter Compatible with Canon FD to Sony E (Manual)

Great adapter. Got it for my Canon FD 50mm. No issues at all, great quality. Can reccomend.

Seems to have a nice, tight fit. I had a previous adapter (Canon FD to M43) that was solid with a lock-ring lens, but had a light leak on an FD with bayonet mount. Love the Urth stuff and have never been disappointed.

I have purchased 4 or 5 of the Urth Canon FD to Sony E mount adapters. Every one (so far) has been consistent in how it fits my old Canon lens and how it fits the Sony. I believe they are made in China, but seem to be a bit more sturdy than some of the less expensive generic ones I have tried. Right now they are my ”go to” adapters. Time will tell if they last.

I have a 35mm f2.0 and 50mm f1.4 that are one of the best lenses from the 70's. I'm very happy to be able to use these lenses again. Pairing the lens and adapter is pretty easy. The Urth adapter is made from quality material and design is right on the mark.

You won’t get autofocus, but you’ll make good use of your legacy lenses in Manual Mode. I had no issues with the adapter, but my old glass wasn’t in the best shape.

I have bought SO MUCH adapters in the past. a. One of them got so stuck on one of my lens that I got to saw it off. b. One of them only worked on my Canon 6D. c. The two last ones I thought worked on my Sony FS7, but only between F8 and F22 because of the length between the focus point of the camera and the edge of the adapter (some older lenses were made for a particular length between those two points). NOW.. this.. I'm gonna buy another one (at least) because I can finally use my Canon FD 55mm 1.2 and my Canon FD 85mm 1.2 on my Sony Fs7, even at F1.2 (but I am probably gonna use them at F2 and over because even if the focus seems good there seems to have lights aberations under it, which I don't mind that much at this point. Those lenses are 40-50 years old and being able to buy quality glasses for 500-1000$ for video use is a bargain). If I was not clear, this is definitively a must buy (at least for the FD to Sony E). They do not use AF, obviously, and are not fast to load onto the camera because of the FD aperture mechanism, BUT I highly recommend you spend the extra cash to get one per old lense you are planning on using it with. You will not regret it, in fact, you might be super excited by the fact that you have more tools in your arsenal. Film, have fun doing it. This product is solid and rocks! *** UPDATE *** I've already bought 2x FD/E-Mount and a M42/E, they are fantastic, currently about to purchase another one for a Contax lense. Buy it (and Urth, don't hesitate to contact me if you think I could be a good brand ambassador, because I now vouch for you, don't change the quality in you products!).

Das wichtigste zuerst: funktionieren tut der Adapter auf jeden Fall! Der Fokus bis unendlich ist in meinen Augen möglich, ich weiß allerdings nicht, ob die Schärfe bei den teuren Adaptern vielleicht noch besser wäre. Aber scharf werden die Bilder auf jeden Fall. Außerdem finde ich den Adapter sowie die Verpackung sehr schön designt! Bei unter 30€ kann man da nicht meckern! Kann ich auf jeden Fall empfehlen.

Buena construcción se adapta perfectamente tanto al objetivo como a la cámara. Cumple muy bien su función. Quizás un pelín caro pero buen material. Recomendable.

Compré este lente para mi camara sony usando los lentes que ya tenía de canon. Por error mio no vi que los lentes que yo tenía eran versión FE en vez de FD así que tuve que devolverlo. Presten mucha atención en eso. Por otro lado en la página oficial me salía el FD al mismo precio que el FE y aquí en amazon me salía mas que el doble del precio así que opte por comprarlo en la página oficial. En general el producto es de muy buena calidad y por lo mismo lo volví a pedir.
