Great Alternative to a Lumbar Pack or a Fishing Vest
This pack combo just arrived yesterday and I was pleasantly surprised by everything that the pictures in the product description didn't show! I took the liberty of posting my own pics just to help other potential buyers with their decisions. First let me say, at the time of writing this, there really isn't any good backpack/chest pack alternatives on Amazon, especially ones that are sold together and combine with each other. Furthermore, there are no reviews on this product which probably means it just came out? I'm not a fan of fishing vests because they usually don't fit me very well and until now I have been wearing a waist lumbar pack for my fishing needs, but have grown tired of turning it around on my waist anytime I need something out of it. A veteran fly fisher friend highly recommended I get a chest pack to serve all my needs. I also like to carry a water bladder and food during my longer excursions as well as have the option of carrying my rod case or a second rod. Thus, here we are.Commentary on my photos:1) The chest pack can be worn separately from the backpack, although I will probably always wear it with the backpack. Nevertheless, if you choose not to bring the backpack, the chest pack will sit lower down UNLESS you counterweight it with your net attached to the neck strap and hanging down from your backside.2) The backpack's first zipper pocket (closest to the shoulder straps) is not a pocket, but unzipping it will expand the available space within the second zipper compartment, which is the backpack's first pocket. Not sure how I feel about this.3) The backpack's second zipper pocket has a liner pocket as well.4) The top of the backpack has 2 loops: 1 red nylon and 1 more secure plastic loop.5) The gray mesh backing of the backpack has a pocket behind it - perfect to fit a water bladder in it. This may be the reason why the first zipper expands the backpack outward instead of containing a compartment.6) The "draw bridge" of the chest pack is pretty sturdy when unzipped. I don't think I will have any problems pushing fly hooks in with one hand without needing to support the door with the other hand.7) The main zipper compartment in the chest pack has a zippered liner inside the pocket - great spot for valuables.8) The gray mesh backing of the chest pack has a horizontal slit in it for attachment to a belt. Useful feature.Additional comments:1) The backpack is not full sized like a school backpack. It sits higher up on my back. However, this is not such a bad thing because it would stay above the water if I was in waist-deep. I'm a tall guy though (6'4") so you shorter people may have a different experience :-)2) The backpack's nylon straps that can be seen along the midsection side of the backpack does not actually hold the outer most all-gray pocket to itself. The outermost gray pocket is the last compartment of the backpack and it's stitched to the rest of the backpack.3) The chest pack cannot attach itself using the clip system to the *back* of the backpack. However, you can carabiner clip it in some fashion fairly easily.4) The chest pack's neck strap and midsection strap are unhookable and should be completely unclipped and stowed when attaching the chest pack to the front of the backpack's connector system.5) There are 4 thick nylon loops on the chest pack's sides, 2 on each side. They don't pull out very far but it's the perfect place to hook using a carabiner your forceps, rod clip, and other high-use items.6) There's an elastic mesh netting on the very outer most part of the chest pack and backpack. Useful for sticking temporary things in it without worrying about the items falling out when the pockets are unzipped.7) The chest pack cannot be cinched up to your chest area using the neck strap. It's shortest strap length will only allow a stomach area hanging. However, when attached to the backpack, it will sit up around your chest area.8) The chest pack's main compartment is spacious but not too spacious. Only put essentials in it. I can put a small fly box, tippet and leader line, a couple tools, my phone/car keys, bug spray, and sun screen with it being pretty full.9) The chest pack's "draw bridge" compartment isn't very spacious and I wouldn't count on housing anything but flies in it.If you thought my review was helpful, I would appreciate a thumbs up! Thanks and happy fishing!

Awesome pack for trout fishing!
A strap was missing that converted the chest pack to a single use item. The company was quick to help and sent a whole new chest and backpack at no additional cost. Customer service is top notch and the pack is comfortable and of good quality. Buy it!

Ok Quality
The overall pack isn’t bad, but the orange colored strings are really low quality and will probably break at some point.

I can't complain
I can't complain and It works for the price. The stitching seems like it might not hold up over time but for how much it was I would say it's a good buy.that is until you can invest in something of higher quality.

As good as the top name brands
I liked everything about this fishing backpack with chest pack. I really like that I can wear one or the other or both.. Great design.. The only thing I wish was incorporated into this design is two minor details.1. For the front pocket of chest bag to be hard and open up like a table for easier change of Flys.2nd would be a water bottle pocket on either the back bag or on the chest bag.I'm very happy with this bag and look forward to using it this summer.
