Very childish
After reading noughts and crosses , I thought this would be for a young adult audience. It was not. Despite the main character being 14, she thinks likes she’s 10 and the book is very unrelatable for a 14 year old. I haven’t finished the book and I don’t think I will because everytimri read it , i just cringe so hard. I would recommend this book for a 7-11 year old as a nice transition between child and adult fiction genre.

Not at all convincing
Many of the dialogues/emotions were not convincing at all and it seemed like the book was written by a child. The argument scene where Vicky gets upset over her brother's taunts about being adopted are completely unrealistic. None of the characters seemed realistic. In the first chapter - teachers/head teachers dont act like that.

My son loved this book, he read it in 48 hours, he couldn't put it down, he his now reading another Malorie Blackman book. This is the first book he has wanted to read in ages, our TV hasn't been on these last 3 days....!
