Review: Great upgrade for Honda Element EX. - Excellent sub. Easy install in my 2005 Honda Element EX 5 speed. I soldered larger connectors onto the factory wiring and drilled a couple of holes for two of the four screws, otherwise this was plug and play. I'm a professional bassist and this was exactly the sound quality I was looking for. I'm using a 2022 10 inch Eonon Android head unit that was plug and play with the factory amp using an ISO adapter kit. Installed Polk Audio 6.5 coaxial all around years ago and this really rounded the system out. The price for the Skar driver had me skeptical, I highly recommend it for an adult subwoofer upgrade on a Honda Element. Will it do the other fender rattling type thing? Beats me. Not what I was looking for, I wanted a musical sub that could cover a range of musical styles. The Eonon Q03Pro head has a 48 band EQ and loads of advanced controls for dialing in exactly the sound I wanted.

**Q: What type of amp do i need to push 2 8 inch evl subs**
A: You can use the RP1200 for 2 EVL since all they require is 600rms each and that wont burn out your subs

A: The 1200.1 RP will do 600 watts at 2 ohms.  Just run all the pos and neg wires from both sides of sub to amp.

**Q: Do they make a box to fit 06 Chevrolet 1500 single cab for 4 8**
A: Probably not but a quick Google search is free, but I'd say you'll have to have a custom box made. Have you checked into JL Audio's shallow mount sub? There's more than just that brand if you don't prefer them. But if your set on conventional subs you may wanna consider having a custom speaker box made to replace the armrest Stick a single EVL 10 OR Evl 12 in it. I got 2012 Silverado ext z71 I put 1 EVL 12 in a store bought 15 in sub box lined it with poly fill and hooked a Rockford Fosgate Mono 1000d amp and it Fing rocks, if I want it louder I crack the windows and it will give you a headache after a while. Hope this helps

**Q: Do these subs have motor noise like the skar svr 8’s? will be going under the seat of my 14 chevy crew cab and my svr’s slam but have motor noise.**
A: not to me anyways..i bought mine used didn't need to brake it in..mines in a F150 extended cab..minus back seat.. they can move alot of air if your port isn't real smooth it'll be noisy

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Its all about the enclosure !

I've been into car audio, and building enclosures for more than 30 years. So this time around, I wanted to do something different.... Passive radiators. I decided to build a 5 cubic foot box, with two Dayton 15" passive radiators, and I used 150gms of weight, on each of them, for a tuning of 30.48 hz. I'm giving this sub woofer right about 1300 wts. So the morning before I put it in the truck, I told myself, Okay, if this sub "only" hits really deep bass, or bass heavy music well.... so be it. I can always get my SQ fix in my car, with my little 8" sub. But right from the moment I fired it up, I was absolutely stunned ! Not only does it make ridiculous low constant bass notes (as one might expect from an 18" sub with good power), but much more surprisingly, it also plays such tight, snappy kick drums, guitar bass, old school rock, and stuff that doesn't even have much bass ! Every other sub woofer enclosure that I have ever built, would start to sound like garbage, if you pushed too hard, where there was not a lot of bass signal, but not this one ! So, in spite of the fact that this thing plays techno / electronic 20-25hz bass so well (fun for demos), I've actually been listening to more old school stuff... just because I can ! The point is though, it plays everything great ! Whatever my mood, this sub woofer is down with it :) I can see this sub woofer setup staying around for a long time, while I work on several other aspects of my system... sound deadening, electrical upgrades, DSP tuning, etc. So, long story short, out of probably 30 enclosures I have built, for everything from 8"s to 18"s, this is absolutely the best, most musical setup I have ever created :) But I mean really, who uses an 18" sub woofer because they are shooting for SQ ? So freaking ecstatic with the outcome :) Thank you so much Skar :)
