You are only supposed 1 or 2 drops in each ear canal and massage....once a week if necessary. Using more can cause irritation/infection. Hematomas are caused by them shaking their head...not the med. Zymox is a wash only and doesn't kill mites. Since my vet passed away...I actually use Otomite...and a marked medicine syringe inserted in a hole in the top just big enough to snugly fit it...and only fill to the number 1...and put half in each ear. It works...and once everything is under control...I usually have to start treating again every 6 months **Q: i have two cats. would this be enough for both or should i get two?** A: Yes, one bottle is more than enough for several cats. You'll be all set with the one bottle. **Q: Is there an expiration date? I can't find it anywhere on the box or bottle.** A: I looked at my box and I cannot find it either. **Q: after using this product, my cat got a huge lump under his ear.
