The handle is sourced from China which isn’t a great thing but the head is made in Germany by Muhle and it’s the same geometry as the Muhle R89 razors with a stylistic difference in the bottom of the base plate. The Edwin Jagger DE89 and Muhle R89 are the same, and so too is this Gillette - it’s a very good shaver IMO.

how do you install blades

First, carefully unscrew the handle. The top section will come apart allowing you to replace the blade. HTH

Are the de blades just relabeled from other gillette de blades? if so, what do they compare to i.e. silver blue, platinum, and or 7’o’clock?
