BEAUTIFUL presentation, clear and concise.

I haven't started the sewing yet, but I have read through the entire book. It seems like it will be very helpful when I do start sewing.

Gave it to a friend and she finds it very helpful, she has no sewing experience

Love this book. Taught myself go to sew with no previous experience. I love the pictures that go along with the instruction and the start of the book that explains what certain "sew" terms mean. I can't tell you how many times I have looked at a book with projects that were labeled as easy but really were still not at my level. Each project also has another step or technique for you to learn as you go which makes it easier . I would recommend this to anyone! Only downfall would be project number two was a little confusing and and some parts of the book you have to copy patterns from the book and enlarge them by a certain percentage. It is hard to enlarge since usually the pattern is just off on the side of some text instead of on its own page. I also only have a basic photo copy on my printer which I'm sure is the case for most. That's the only downfall but, a lot of the enlargments you can probably free hand. If it wasn't for that I would give this five stars. :-)

good book to help the beginning seamstresses.

It's definitely for beginners and the patterns are not very good. I wouldn't want to make anything from it. I thought it would be more about how to use your sewing machine. I returned it.
