A great price on a quality unit. Delivery went well. An inspection of shipping box and item is advised at delivery. Make sure to inspect for any hint of damage to exterior box. Arrived quickly and in excellent working order. Purchased the 36" downdraft. Fits well and I really like that the intake is able to convert/ shift for installation. Strong pull on the fan. The measurement and fit are accurate. You need to consider where your exhaust vent currently is (if this is a replacement) I needed to reposition my vent slightly in order to align with the unit.

This was shipped to a renovation project three hours from us and arrived with the top panel bent. Our installers took it out to measure with the new granite countertop and found it badly bent on one side. Now, after presenting this to seller, they require (without any forewarning) pictures of all sides of the box. The installers and or builder threw their trash away, so we've been told we're out of luck. Obviously, if you buy from this seller, realize you may get stuck with something they or their shipper did. Update: now that the contractor finally has gotten to installation, the entire unit is bent and the vent will not extend or retract. Since this project is 3 hours from home, and this seller refuses responsibility for damaged goods unless you can take photographs of the unit and packaging which I wasn’t present to do, it is presumed your contractor dropped it and trashed the thing. Other sellers who have had this happened have worked with us on similar issues, but not this seller. Beware.

I purchased this for kitchen renovation and it is perfect for our island cook top! The fan has excellent adjustable fan speeds and I like that it raises when using and lowers back into counter when you don’t. It really moves air well. I was a little concerned with ordering a larger expensive kitchen item through Amazon but everything went great! It went so well that I later ordered a new sink and components.

The first one I ordered never arrived so I canceled the order. I ordered again in a few weeks and it arrived in just a few day, in great shape. We were having a new gas stove top installed and this was installed at the same time. For the install, it fit nicely in the 36" cabinet. However, the vent pipes for the previous downdraft were directly under where this fit into the cabinet. Even though you can change whether it vents to the right, left, or directly down, the unit went almost to the bottom of the cabinet directly on top of the vent pipe. But the installer cut some metal and created a custom vent connection. Everything worked out great. For operations, when I initially popped it up the fan did not work. With a quick inspection, I found a speed control on the side of the riser. This allows me to set the fan speed as I wish. The fan is a little noisy at the mid to high speeds. It is also a little noisy when it rises. But all in all, this is a nice unit for the money.

This product is perfect for my needs. I didn't want the look of a huge clunky hood above my big beautiful island. This does the job, it is a bit loud, but nothing too bad. It sucks the steam and odors in just fine. I have had it for more than a year and I couldn't live without it.

If I could give it 0 stars I would....after being installed in early February of 2023, the fan started making a terrible screeching noise that makes it torturous to listen to when you turn it on. The fan sounds like it is off balance or something and scraping mental somewhere inside the unit. That stopped thankfully after a few days. A few weeks later the switch for the unit to turn on and off started to malfunction, and it started going up and down repeatedly until we disconnected the power source. Needless to say we are trying to contact the manufacturer about the warranty but we would not recommend this product at all.
