Am I not adding enough Bokashi?** A: I've noticed a whitish (maybe) mold on the top layer. I do a lot of chopping and mixing in additional bokashi with a sharp bread knife so it doesn't get that bad. I've also heard you are supposed to lay down some plastic on top of the compost to keep it away from air. **Q: Anyone have a homemade recipe for this mix?** A: I have, I tried several times slightly tweaking the process in an attempt to be successful. It was challenging, stinky and I failed every time. I've no idea why! I'm thinking it would be far easier to use this as a starter and grow more by feeding this. That's my plan.
