Do NOT use soap.
Easy to slide on if you follow video directions. Don't use soap or lotion as it will not dry and become secure. (Ask me how I know this.) Put it on my push lawn mower it and makes it much easier to grip the handle while mowing across terraces. Can't speak to durability yet but feels like it will last a good while under normal use. Comes as two 26 inch sections which are more than enough for standard mower handle. Again, don't be stupid like me and use soap to slide it on or you'll be doing it over. Follow the directions, that's why they give them.UPDATE: Recently tried on a wood walking stick and the alcohol method failed miserably. After trying and trying to work this foam grip on I figured what the heck and squirted liquid soap onto the stick. That did the trick and things went smoothly from then on. The only thing I can figure is the wood absorbed the alcohol too quickly but not the soap so the alcohol works for a metal handle and the soap for the wood. The soap seems to have dried making the grip secure as well. Hope this all makes sense and is helpful to anyone using this product.UPDATE 2: Recently applied this to a fiberglass snow shovel handle using a combination of silicone spray and compressed air. Went easy on the silicone because it sometimes won't dry out as well as soap or alcohol leaving the rubber a bit loose depending on the diameter of handle. Used a ball inflator needle on my small compressor to slip between handle and grip which worked out very well considering the handle is an inch and a quarter outside diameter. This is a good product but sliding it onto the desired tool handle seems to be an issue for most folks. Definitely worth the effort though, so hope this helps.

Replacement Grips are available
This is second time I have ordered. I use them on a home gym set. They are a bit softer than the ones that came with the set, but are very good. Last order was more than five years ago. I was so pleased to find replacements.

Great! Doesn't slip. Soft but sturdy.
Replaced some ripped foam and ended up replacing all the old foam/rubber anyway because this one is better quality. It's thicker and softer than our old ones. Very hard to get on, we used the canned air trick, but needed two people. One to press the can and the other to pull the foam over the bar.

Great replacement
I used this to replace the grips on my Gazelle exercise unit. Not easy to install though. I finally squirted dish soap inside of the new grip, and was able to inch it on. Fits perfectly. Hoping it will give me many more years of use.

makes a big difference on my cane
I walk with a cane, constantly, I can only walk with a cane. I have several, but my favorites are the self defense solid non-adjustable canes. I put this on three canes, two wood and one aluminum K-Bar cane. This stuff is great, looks like foam pipe insulation, but it is far stronger, solid rubber, with enough "give" to make it very comfortable to hold while putting your weight on it. Grips better when wet. Saw some reviewers had issues with installation. Had no problems installing on one inch diameter canes, used good old KY jelly as a lubricant. Water based, will not harm finishes or rubber / plastic, dries clean, excess easily wipes off with a wet rag. Once dry, its there. Another option would be talcum powder, if you have any, can't by it anymore, and its a big mess. Use KY or any water based personal lubricant, do not use any petroleum or oil based lubes, and even some liquid soaps can attack finishes and some rubbers. Will put this on anything I need to hold on to regularly.

Just what I needed for covering swingset chain...
My daughter spends a lot of time on her swingset. So much time that she had worn calluses on her hands. Even with the chain that is made with covering on it to prevent pinching, it just wasn't enough to protect her hands from severe callusing. I had tried many different things to try to protect her hands, but nothing stood the test of time until I tried this foam. It's perfect! I cut one piece in half and used a cord to pull the chain through the foam tubing. I wet the foam to make it easier to pull the chain through the tubing where the chain is larger from the rubber covering. I have been using the foam for almost a year and it has held up very well in the sun and weather. I'm glad to find a lasting solution to my problem. Highly recommended!! I wanted to attach a picture but it didn't give me the option to add an attachment.

it wasn’t folded. nice and straight.
Product was as described. Wasn’t folded which distorts the material. Fast shipping. But shipping should have been free.

Less costly than OEM replacement.
This cost about $5 more than the OEM replacement tube for my Stromberg Carlson RV handgrip, but I can replace it 4 times with the amount of tubing they sent. You still need to deal with the spring bolt hassles of reinstalling the handgrip and I also found the tube to be a bear to massage onto the bar with soap and water, but it's done and it looks good. Hopefully this one will last as long as the original before needing replacement.

Matches Cub Cadet/MTD etc. OEM product exactly
I bought this tubing to replace a torn handle grip on my Cub Cadet tiller. Since a single 11" replacement piece of OEM material is nearly $30 CDN I thought even if I had to change both sides to keep it matching cosmetically this would still be a better solution. As it turns out with 2 x 26" pieces of this tubing I now have enough to replace both grips twice, and as a bonus it's an exact match in colour and texture to the OEM grips so I only had to replace the one damaged side.

Perfect
Exactly what I was looking for to replace dried out grips on a 2nd hand home gym I picked up. Perfect fit and comfortable to grab. Also protects from cold as the gym is quite cold in the early morning with no heat.

Excellent replacement
This is a perfect replacement for the cracked and split rubber on the grab assist handle on my RV. The 2 pieces of tubing are enough to do 4 handles. I used soapy water to assist in sliding the tube around the corners on the handle.

Comparison to the original product
Used this product to replace the grip on my golf cart. Outside diameter was larger than the original. Made it a bit more difficult to attach umbrella holder, but the larger grip feels great on the hands.
