What an amazing book!
What a book, what a book!! I had enjoyed another book by this author and had loved his narrative. This book was even more captivating as he speaks about his own experience. This book really helped me understand more about myself and also taught me that I'm not at fault for what I'm feeling, it's the world and his tidbits on how to deal with it are pretty practical and do-able. Must read for anybody through mental health issues or even just feeling a little low - if nothing it will show how u are not alone :)

A collection of blog post kinda book.
To be honest I didn't read the book. I bought it but returned it right away. The book seemed like a collection of short blog posts which I didn't like. Of course, it is original copy since the seller is Amazon.

a book full of wisdom
I loved this book so so much, it became one of my all time favourites. It felt like I was reading my own mind because I could literally relate to every word Matt used. It is definitely worth a read for everyone because it refers to nearly every aspect of this modern world we are living in and in what a creepy direction this world somehow seems to develop (especially if we are looking at technology and mobile phones etc.). I really can not describe how much I've loved this book, not in those view sentences, but I am really so thankful Matt wrote this unique piece of wisdom.

In this book, Haig combines his personal experiences with anxiety and depression, offering practical advice, gentle encouragement, and reflections that make you feel less alone in navigating mental health struggles. He speaks from the heart, sharing his own struggles in a way that makes the reader feel understood and less isolated. ✅ Practical Advice – The book offers practical tips on how to cope with modern-day stressors, whether it's dealing with social media overload, anxiety, or the constant pressure of daily life. ✅ Empathy and Positivity – Despite the heavy subject matter, Haig maintains a hopeful and empathetic tone throughout the book. His insights on mindfulness, slowing down, and focusing on small, positive changes are uplifting and motivational. ✅ Short, Digestible Chapters – The chapters are short and easy to read, making it a great book to pick up when you need a mental break. It’s not overwhelming, and you can easily digest one chapter at a time. ✅ A Personal and Universal Journey – Haig explores both personal and societal impacts on mental health, making the book both an individual journey and a collective reflection on how we can improve our well-being in an increasingly hectic world. A Small Note: 🔹 Some of the ideas are familiar, especially if you’ve read other self-help or mental health books, but Haig’s unique voice and perspective bring a fresh and deeply compassionate lens to these topics. Final Thoughts: Notes on a Nervous Planet is a must-read for anyone feeling overwhelmed by modern life. Haig offers a gentle, reassuring reminder that it’s okay to slow down and take care of yourself. An open, honest book that everyone should read
What can I say? An open, honest book that recounts the author's own struggles with mental illness, and looks at how modern life can exacerbate these problems for all of us. I could relate to so much of this book, how certain things affect my view of myself and the world around me, and it helped me better understand the problems my own two sons are going through. This is a book that everyone should read, so that we can all get off this roller coaster every now and then and find our moments of calm.
