On-going...
Reading = in process. Like all guide books, as long as I learn something that helps me as a writer, I'm satisfied. That said, everyone's at a different place in their techie knowledge. The author writes, "Yet being comfortable with it [Microsoft Word] isn't the same as being familiar with it. I'm comfortable with my car, but that doesn't make me a mechanic."Part 1 is a review and meaning of Words' symbols and actions. Part 2 is on Submission Formatting including samples, tips and tricks to presenting your writing at its best.Microsoft Word is a program most of us use, but "few master." I may not master it, but my aim is professional quality submissions.

Lots of tidbits, tools, and tricks for anyone using Word
What I've learned through trial and error over years of using Word is nicely distilled within these pages, plus plenty of useful information I still didn't know about. It has some nice bonus sections on formatting. This book was useful in putting together my latest project as an ebook for Amazon. However, you'll still need to refer back to Amazon's Kindle guide for precise instructions depending on your book's trim. Yet, between the two guides I had no real issues, despite never doing it before, thus saving me money on not having to hire a formatter. Well worth the price as it saves you money in the long run!

A great quick reference guide for anyone who uses MS Word
I liked the easiness of The Writer's Guide to Microsoft Word by Kari Holloway. Things are laid out nicely with pictures included of what is being discussed and explained, so it is easier to find the command buttons that are needed or what the options are.I am not a writer in the sense of books but I do have to use MS Word for work and I learnt a few things that I will be using when I need to do my next reports. If you are a MS Word pro then you might not really learn a whole lot but it is also a good quick reference guide and there are a few tricks that you can glean from it.I received an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.

Loved it, very helpful!
Saw the recommendation for this book on a Facebook group, thought I would check it out. The price was worth the gamble, and in this case the gamble paid off. This book was informative, easy to read, and gave you the stuff you need to get any writing started. Really helpful in my last project and I am sure it will continue to produce in the future. Definitely worth the investment.

The layout of the book is easy to follow, it teaches by example of a well thought off book with the most helpful information. The graphics are clear, therefore, easy to follow and apply. Use this book first. Then add "Format your book by Mark Stattelman" and then if you need further help use "Teach yourself visually Word 2019"These 3 books will set you on FIRE to Format your books. Some cool stuff
Good, but not very deep. I bought mainly to learn pagination but the instruction is not very detailed. I still learned some cool stuff, though.
