It's the kind of book that leaves you thinking 'I could do that'.While I enjoyed the book, and was fascinated to read about the experiences of the couple (hence 4 stars) I constantly found myself feeling that the book was 'forced'. The author has obviously read 'Wild' by Cheryl Strayed, but did not mention it at all, probably because although the central character (Strayed) is less likable, she is a better writer than Raynor Winn and tells her story in a more natural way.

A journey of courage and resilience. what is most beautiful about this book is its language. What a fine literature. This book will keep you on the edge and you will never put it down till its done. A fantastic journey.

This is the best book I have read for a long time. I learnt a useful lesson, homeless people are often just innocent victims of misfortune. I guess I had a pre conceived idea that many were either drug addicts or alcoholics. They are as varied as the rest of us and this book shows that any one of us could end up homeless.

An outstanding story of a strength and resilience when faced with life changing events. Losing everything including one's health, and getting through it with love and positivity, kindness and belief. Beautifully written, this is a candid account of a couple who overcame adversity. A classic to add to my library. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it.
