Our magnolia was looking like a victim of some attack - leaves were thin, branches were bare. I had an arborist out but his suggestions didn't help and it cost me $150.00. I had poured manure and epson salts and blood meal and so many things under this tree and all it did was green up the lawn! So my husband and I decided to figure it out on our own. We got this auger and some tree food and made 18 holes around the drip line and filled them with tree food. And now the tree is recovering and getting leaves. This auger thing really saved a big magnolia tree! We are really glad we found this!

While it's still a bit shorter than I would've liked the tool is definitely quality made and the auger is able to pull up and move the dirt out of the way sufficiently. It does not jam with dirt and has a smooth coating that allows it to shed dirt. You can even improve that by adding some lubrication spray so dirt slides right off

I had about eighty (80) dwarf Mondo Grass plants to plant. This tool did its job beautifully and efficiently. There was, however, one drawback to putting it into a 3/8" drill. Due to the heavy coating on the auger, which is a good thing, it would not fit into the drill chuck. Fortunately, I also have a 1/2" drill into which it fits easily and worked well. Hope this helps you in your buying decision.

Used to plant our bulb garden. Deer ate the flowers when they grew. But the digger worked.

I hung up this drill and the shaft twisted off in the drill chuck. I lost about an inch of the shaft and had to streighten it out to use it again.

Makes drilling small post holes very easy. Do struggle in harder soil, but overall perform well. Not disappointed with the purchase

This was the best thing have ever purchased. It dug over 100 holes for me to plant my spring flower bed.

No issues but a powerful drill is recommended

The media could not be loaded.  I use it to loosen hard pack clay soil. Save me lots of digging with picks and hoe. You need 24” to drill standing up. The auger material is thick and I think it will last. I use a 20v portable drill without side handle. It does kickback when hitting rocks or bricks. But it stand up with about 230 sq feet of soil drilling. Just remember to tighten the chuck in the beginning as it does come loose after few spinning. But it has work fine since. A bit more pricey than other supplier but I need it promptly and it arrived next day. Super happy.
