it's a doorbell
You can't get to my front door without permission. Some neighbors have joked that I need a doorbell out at the front gate. So I purchased this one without wiring it. Looks great, does the job but I can't speak on whether it actually works or not. But I'm sure it does.

Cheap fix
Did the job and was the same size as the original. The attachment holes lined up with the original holes. Easy job and cheap fix. I often wondered why people were coming to my door and don't ring the doorbell. My door bell button was broken. Ha ha

A bit smaller than I expected!
The bell button is a bit smaller than expected, about the size of a silver dollar. However it works great and absolutely worth the price. Thank you!

It's fun! A nice brass boobie button!
Does what it's supposed to do- Stuff gets turned on when I press the nipple. For wire run on the surface, you will need to cut or bend a notch in the edge to pass the wire under as there is not one. Long screws were very cheap, head stripped before screw could be seated, so I used better shorter screws. Button overall looks good, works good. Stuff gets turned on!

Perfect for me!
Just what I needed! A simple cheap round doorbell switch. Do you know they don't sell these in Home Depot anymore? They only sell fancy-pants wireless do-dads. Or they have a handful of rectangular hard wired switches. I needed a round one. See, we have dogs. You probably see where I am going with this. When people ring the doorbell, they go insane. We go insane because they go insane. My old doorbell is round and lights up. The button is busted but the light still works so people push it all the time. What I want to do is remove the old one, and stick this one up in it's place but not wire it in. Genius, right? Then you can push all you want and the dogs won't flip out every time I order something from Amazon! Awesome!

Cheap stamped piece, does the job
I bought this because some caveman stomped the button on my old one and crushed the mechanism. This is a very thin stamping and I doubt the finish will last more than a year or so. But the really irritating part is the super long screws! They’re 2x or 3x the length they need to be and the soft metal makes it impossible to drive them all the way down. Once they start to bite (even with drilled holes) the bit just strips the screw head. But for 8 bucks, I can’t complain.

It's a doorbell button. Works like a doorbell button which is what I wanted.

Made like they were back then
It's no longer metal or brass. It's probably aluminum now. The black button is plastic. The contacts are made well and holds the two wires solidly. This will last.
