If this scent is genuine, why are there so many reviews saying that the scent doesn’t last and it’s diluted?

I’m not sure. I know when I purchased it I did not have that issue. It’s been quite some time since I’ve purchased this. However I had no issues of dilution or non-lasting scent. I HAD NO ISSUES AT ALL. MINE WAS ORIGINAL BRAND
