LEGO Creator Maersk Train 10219

I was looking for this beauty for years. Good price for a collectors item

This is a great set for a Lego fan. The build took a little while, but my 9 year old managed it just fine. He loves this train, and is currently working on getting the parts and pieces to add power via Power Functions parts. The detailing on this train is great, there are a few movable parts, doors at the back of the cars open. It looks just like the real thing. It's larger than I thought it would be (in a good way!). The trains have a good sturdy weight to them when they've been built to spec. My son is thrilled (he saved for a year to get this). Just be warned that the Power Functions don't come WITH this train, those are separate parts that you have to purchase (the Lego website often has the best pricing for those odd parts). Tracks also come separately.

Misleading advertising

This was a great LEGO set for investment purposes. It's a train, which always do well, and it's mostly in Maersk blue, which is a fairly rare LEGO color. Since it was discontinued in November of 2012, it's doubled in value. I really wish I had purchased more of them, but alas, I only got one. I thought they'd go end of line a little later than they did. Can't always reliably predict the market, you know? So, the big question is, do you want this set? At the current price, I think it's hard to justify just for building purposes. It's a neat set, but it's not that big, that complex, nor that interesting of a build. It also uses a lot of stickers across multiple bricks. If you're really into Maersk stuff or trains, it might be worth it to you, but otherwise, it's probably more economical to buy a different train or wait for the next Maersk LEGO product. As an investment, it's appreciated well and appreciated rapidly. However, I don't expect that to continue long term. I don't think it will go down in price, but I think the opportunity for making large gains quickly has already passed.

We thought it would come with a small oval of track. After it was built, he couldn't run it because there was no track. It shows it on the box and we were not able to find out if it was in the box until he opened it on Christmas day. What a dissapointment to all. He had it built within five hours and couldn't run it.

I used to love Lego's but as an adult, I pretty much lost the thrill. This Christmas I was looking for Lego Duplo toys for my Son and stumbled on this. I decided to order it and was enthralled putting it together. I forgot how much fun putting together Lego's could be! This train was a lot of fun and I didn't want to stop until it was complete. The outcome was better than my expectations! I highly recommend this set for anyone who loves Legos and especially Lego train sets.

The train by itself is a work of art, although it did not have any power functions. If you are looking for a complete train set for under the tree there are cheaper options out there that include the motor, lights, tracks, receiver, battery, remote, and cord. If you want one of the most realistic lego train sets there is then buy this model just expect to pay almost double the sets price if you want power functions and a track. That being said I gave this set a 4 out of 5 stars being as pricey as it was.

I honestly think it was WAY overpriced. My son has Autism and he really wanted this set for his birthday, so, since he doesn't ask for all the stuff that healthy kids his age will ask for, I felt morality obligated to buy it for him. Specialy after working on his therapy so hard to earn it. I am a single mom and paying 300.00 for a such a small toy, trultruly hurt.... Carmen Morales

La confezione non comprende né binari né motori, ma ne avevo già comprati parecchi in precedenza (inoltre il telecomando del treno LEGO 7938 può pilotare due treni contemporaneamente). Questo è il secondo treno Maersk che compro (l'ho fatto anzitutto per approvvigionarmi di altri pezzi). Il bello dei modelli LEGO è poterli smontare per costruire, coi pezzi avanzati, qualcosa di completamente diverso. Anche a questo do cinque stelle perché lo trovo ben fatto (idea, design, montaggio, gioco). Se non si ha abbastanza spazio utile in casa non conviene cimentarsi coi treni (questo modello, una volta montato, supera la novantina di centimetri di lunghezza). Alla fine del manuale di montaggio c'è una sezione extra dove spiega come sostituire il simulacro di motore con i motori PowerFunctions LEGO (quelli col ricevitore a infrarossi e col telecomando a 7 velocità).

Mis à part le délai de livraison beaucoup trop long (j'ai du patienter un mois avant de recevoir mon colis expédié par musique pour vous) l'achat de ce magnifique train légo maersk, un peu cher!! m'a satisfait.Le montage a été effectué en 5 heures environ avec un enfant de 9 ans(cette boite est normalement prévue à partir de 14 ans) mais il n'y a pas de difficultés majeures, il faut juste prendre son temps et franchement le résultat est à la hauteur, c'est pour l'instant le plus beau des trains légo que nous ayons monté.Le choix de couleurs des briques est original et il est nécessaire d'ouvrir tous les petits sacs de pièces dès le départ pour la construction, différence notoire avec les autres trains légo plus classiques.Seul bémol, Légo aurait du prévoir quelques rails droits pour l'exposer mais je pense que d'ici peu une motorisation sera mise en place pour faire rouler ce bel achat que je recommande.

je commence une collection de train et il faut absolument avoir celui la! c'est très amusant de le construire. Le modèle est vraiment bien détaillé puisqu'il s'agit de la réplique d'un vrai train. Alors n'hésitez pas foncez acheter ce set.
