Pepin Press Figure Drawing for Fashion Design (Pepin Press Design Books) (961505) Paperback – January 8, 2015

My degree is in Fashion Design and I have been working as an Assistant Designer for about a year. Unfortunately, I had a less than mediocre sketching teacher when I was in college and have been looking for books that will help me work on my own croqui's and I absolutely LOVE this book. It is much bigger than I expected. You really get your money worth! I read one review where someone was complaining about the nudity. If you are studying figure drawing, get used to it and get over it. It's not pornographic and it's the only way to understand the body. Another few said that the figures were super womanish which is a little true but it is super easy to make small alterations to the forms if you just want to use the ones in the book. I recommend this and Contemporary Fashion Illustration Techniques by Naoki Watanabe if you are on a budget. If not, go for 9 Heads: A Guide to Drawing Fashion (3rd Edition) too - great book I have not yet been able to purchase!

absolutely thrilled with this book! I think that any designer or person looking for a how-to drawing book is probably looking for something with fewer words and more examples; this book does just that. So many great examples of a drawings from start to finish, with a few guidelines to help along the way. It gets down to the details in facial expression and features; it even shows how to adequately draw flats!It's been years since I have drawn a fashion sketch, but I am looking forward to getting back into it with this book as a very helpful guide.

The book has all the information one needs about the female anatomy, the only down part is that most women drawn in it look muscular. And I bought the book knowing the fact since someone in the review section had warned about it but then its a treasure strove for anyone wanting to get good tips on how to draw the female form.

I bought this book to help me with figure drawing. I was expecting to find the basics I was looking for. In fact, it is so much more. This is a lovely book, fit for a coffee table. The artwork is stunning. I am enjoying it for its own sake, not just how it was going to help me with projects.

This book was everything i needed on my schedule and helps me a lot in my fashion designer career! Amazing quality, amazing drawing and good explanation of what to do. If you are starting into design, you should totally buy this book. Amazing deal

Good book, very pleased that there is more than one language. Thick it gives a number of drawings that are very useful to the sketcher.

I was so excited to get this book! I like the looks of how she draws the fashion models, they don't look anorexic, like most fashion models are drawn. It takes you step by step and section by section. It's a book that I will be referring to quite often.

This books title is oath. [Figure drawing for Fashion Design], and that exactly what it does. Helps designers like myself put further detail in their designs, with explanations on how to do so. They even break down the Law of Proportion. Its great! A good buy for any aspiring fashion designer. Though beginners may find it hard to keep up with.

i just recived the 2016 version insted of the 2010 one but it change nothing except the cover ! I highly recommand it !
