The oil is perfect, but there are no clear instructions for opening the applicator tip. Here is what worked for me: 1. I first tried to unscrew the small red cap at the top, but it did not turn. 2. Then I pulled the small cap straight up with my fingers, and it came off. Trying to twist it first may have helped loosen it a little. 3. The applicator tip underneath was completely sealed — there was no opening. 4. I cut off only the very tip, but there was still no hole. 5. I carefully pierced the center with a thin pin. 6. Now it works perfectly: with gentle pressure, it dispenses one small drop at a time. Tip: Don’t cut too much off. Start with the smallest possible cut and use a thin pin if necessary. This gives much better control of the oil. I hope this saves someone else some time!

It’s Singer and I have a vintage Singer machine that was my mothers. It has never had anything else caress its frame. Great oil for other things too - clean, pure, and just the right texture. Quite affordable as well. I’ll never use anything else.

Perfect little bottle of sewing machine oil. I have an old singer sewing machine which I do not use often. And each time I go to use it it will make a loud grating sound, so I just need to drop some oil in the oiling spots and run it a little and my machine works smoothly and softly after that. So yes just a perfect little bottle of oil.

This is the highest recommended oil for Singer Sewing Machines. Easy to use, easy to apply. There is no leakage. Best all around. The viscosity of this oil is perfect. Not too runny and not thick and sticky. It was a little price up front, but you barely use any and it will last darn near a lifetime. So the value outweighs the overall amount spent.
