A Man After God's Own Heart: Updated and Expanded

This is one of those books that inspires you to be what God desires from you; although you don't know quite what that is. Jim George does a fantastic job of showing you excellent Biblical men and helps you meditate and focus on the Word of God to hear him tell you how to be the best man after His own heart. I gave this book to a friend who was struggling after some personal instances in his life at a bible study. He read through it in one night and came back saying how reading this showed him that his struggles and failures didn't have to define who he was because he could still be what God desired from him because of Jesus.

If you are striving to be a man after God's own heart, than this book is for you. This book has changed my life. I took some of the principles of it and no matter what situation I am in, I use the principles in the book to get me through. After reading this book, I have cut some things out of my life that were hindering my walk with God. This book is going to change your whole mindset. If you are serious in your christian walk, than don't hesitate to get this book.

If you are truly trying to seek after God and His heart then this book gives you the steps on how to do it. It taps into the drive that you have and the desire to live and strive to be better and to be all that Christ Jesus has called you to be. I highly recommend this book.

Amazing book

I had ordered this book for my now fiancé for his birthday last year. He always spoke about David in the bible and when one thinks of David, one is reminded that David was a man after God's own heart. After reading the blog, I had no hesistation in ordering it. This book covered many aspects including how to be an influence in your ministry at church, in your marriage, to your children, at your work place, etc. Based on his reviews, I would definitely recommend blessing your other half with this 'must read' book.

Interesting read!

I did not read this book myself. I bought it as a present for a Pastor friend in America. I think he did enjoy it. I haven't heard anything from him for a wee while because he is very arthritic and only sends e-mails when he is able.
