it's dark in the container when it's wet but it dries very light colored so there was no issue like others were complaining about. Worked perfectly for gaps between my sanded white oak floorboards.

It’s similar to, but spreads easier than Timbermate. I like it, this white oak is a good match for alder too. I’m going to use this from now on for my woodworking projects.

Many good things about Goodfilla. Big one is the water base and ability to alter the consistency from stiff putty to trowelable. I'm refinishing an old oak hardwood floor with some damage. Adhesion seems very good. Sanding- it needs to be a bit hard to be durable for this purpose, so I would say it sands about right, not quite as hard as the wood around it, but holds the surface plane well. Staining is less satisfactory. I used white oak color. The floor is red oak, but the colors shown for the red oak version looked way too dark. The white oak is dark reddish brown when wet, but more like camel when dry. I expected to have to do blend-in staining. However, it does not accept stain as the surrounding wood does, so I'm needing to go to darker stain, apply carefully to the fill areas, and wipe the wood with thinner when it laps onto oak. So far, that is my only disappointment. Have to say I've never found a "stainable" filler that took stain the same way wood does. The stuff cleans off hands or tools easily with water before it dries- needs to soak a bit if you let it dry before cleaning. But as advertised, you don't have to throw away stiff material, it does re-constitute. Overall it's pretty much as described, and any experienced craftsman knows you need experience with most products to know what you can expect of them. This won't be the only wood filler we use, but it will serve many of our purposes.

I was not sure what to expect as I have never installed hardwood floors. All I knew was that I needed filler for a few areas. This was easy to work with, matched nicely, and it even smelled nice. Great product!!

My contractor left some holes/gaps around the door jambs when installing our engineered wood floating floor (Calibamboo Mocha fossilized). It did not look good and attracted dust. I filled the gaps up with this putty and it was so easy to spread and not toxic (it had no nasty odor). I filled the holes with a small spoon and fingers and it dried well without much cracking. It looks great. If there is some spilling or smear, you can just take it away with a moist cloth. You can fix little smudges even days later, and it looks great. I never left a review but I was so impressed with this product that I wanted to compliment the company. I also love the fact that it's a family-run business.

By far the best wood filler I have ever used. It comes very soft and very easy to use. I love that if it hardens you can add water to soften and use. I won't buy anything else.

This product is fine it’s a water-based wood filler. However, I’ve ordered a couple of these in different colors on different occasions and they’re usually shipped fairly dry and you have to rehydrate them. On the plus side it’s not hard to do you just add a little water. However, as mentioned, this product will shrink and you will need to apply a second coat maybe even a third. The consistency is that of drywall spackle I’m not convinced that it isn’t just drywall spackle with some dye added. However, the product is very forgiving, and it cleans up with water very easily, which is why I keep using it. You can make a mistake and fix it with a wet rag no problem.

Product is easy to work with and fills cracks in hardwood floor good but color is way to light , needs to be darkened but it takes stain to a point . Have to wait to really see how it performs over time . Looks like material I had in floor from years past so if that’s the case I give it thumbs up

Decent product. Noticable even after stained. Perhaps if you use a real dark stain you'd get different results. I don't mind this look though. Love that it won't dry out and be wasted.
